WOYWW? 257 - May? really?

Hello again, welcome back for another Wednesday desk-hopping.  You can link up here at Julia's and find out anything you may not know about this fun way to spend a Wednesday.

Despite it having been a bank holiday in the UK last weekend, there isn't a lot to show on my "desk" today, just a couple of bottles of gesso and matt medium I bought, and a new journal!
it's quite a big journal, A4 size, so we'll see what that's like for playing in soon! Not that I may start in this one next, I have a few waiting...(as you do!! )

So that's it from me, this week, totally short and sweet, (won't get told off this time!) and I've got away without 'fessing up to still not starting my atc's....oops!!

Have a great week, catch you at yours soon!

Oh, and if you come back later, there'll be a new DragonsDream tag.. want a sneak peak?

shhh! don't tell anyone!

I don't even have my post up yet, so you are really, really fast. I used to have that face stamp, but a friend borrowed ALL my face stamps, and it went the way of the world. Not that I had that many, but three was a big number to me.

That really IS a big book, at least from the looks of the other ones. happy WOYWW early as usual.

Oooh, you're a girl who likes living on the edge, ATC-wise. I can't leave things til the last minute, it gives me the nervous twitches!!

Black gesso in liquid form...I need some of that! Can hardly see your lovely carpet for all the glorious goodies. ;) Although I do spy some wooden stars?! Thanks for the earlier visit! Hugs and Happy WOYWW! Nan G #8

Hi Helen, is that gesso black? Why ahve I never heard of it? I must have been under a rock for a while now! A4 would be a bit daunting for me to journal in... too much space to mess up, while you will be great, dinna worry! :) Annette #9
Oh I am going home to Scotland... with intentions to staying there witha bit of luck!! Annette #9

Short and sweet indeed - I have to admit I am guilty of not altering my usual, naturally rambling and verbose style for the once-a-week WOYWW post :) I know I've been particularly bad when the comments are generic. I really should at least TRY to cut my WOYWW posts down, but it's so HARD. So looking forward to the crop so see you there. We can chat journals....
:)

Happy WOYWW!

I won't tell on you if you don't tell on me re the not done atc's. Cannot get motivated to think of a theme or anything. Might have to settle on a colour.
Look forward to seeing that BIG journal getting started - I have a big one waiting but haven't journaled in ages so not ready to start that one yet.

Your desk looks brilliant, Helen - I just love all those bottles of gel medium etc. I really enjoy all mine, too, and love looking at the shelf where they are all stored! If there was Desert Island Art Materials, my gel mediums would have to top the list lol!! I simply love your new journal page - so sunny and upbeat. Gorgeous. I am so looking forward to getting into art journalling and once I've finished the mini-album (for someone else) I intend to make myself some albums from recycled materials.

Thanks for your visit - hoping to have something more interesting to show next week!

Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi

Great peak at your tag. I have just bought a tub of liquitex gel medium and I am curious to hear what you think of the bottle version. A4 is a great size for a journal.

Busy 'desk' as usual. Like the sneak peek, have been very bad at joining in lately don't know where the time goes. Yes first week of May is gone. My diary is so full for the rest of the month we'll both be going 'June?' before we know it. Happy WOYWW Cindy #36

My problem with new journals is that I love looking at the blank pages. Your desk so nice and creative. If I had a permanent craft space I imagine it would look a lot like yours!

Thanks for visiting me already!!!

Happy WOYWW

I haven't started my ATCs yet. A whole Bank Holiday weekend and not one ATC. But not to worry, there's always crafting till 2 am on a school night. As ever, your desk looks fun and so inviting.

I think I'd have even worse blank page syndrome with an A4 book! I never saw black gesso before..mind, I haven't looked..but I can see the usefulness.I'm bringing a box of scraps ans some stuff for some random ATC making on Crop day!

That's a very cropped in view this week! I like the yellow and red pages that are open behind your new journal, but I agree with Julia, a blank page is bad enough sometimes, but a whole book full of blank pages, yikes!!

Brenda
