Inspired by Joanne Wardle - Paperartsy Challenge

This week, Joanne has been back at Paperartsy with her CAS (clean and simple) challenges... which as we know, I don't often do...but these grabbed me and I had to have a go... I would have adapted it to a Christmas theme (I really MUST get on with my cards...) but couldn't find a Christmas die the right size...
Nor, I discovered to I have the right impressions pads to get a super embossed edge to my image... but never mind!

I used a square card and the medium sized leaf die (Paperartsy) and Fresco paints Cinnamon, Hyde Park, Tango and Yellow Submarine, and a sentiment from Donna Downey.
Once I'd mounted the cut out over the paint, I decided it would look better with some shimmer, so added some Treasure Gold (White Fire and Ruby)

Great inspiration, Joanne - it would have looked better with the embossed edge round the leaf, but maybe next time!

Loving your colour combo and the quote fits perfectly.

Pity you couldn't find an xmas die, as I'm sure you could of made a few, they are great to make aren't they!!

I think it looks fine with or without the embossed edge. I absoloutely adore your choice of colours. It is autumn all wrapped up in one card. Thank you so much for playing along, your card's a beaut!

There is something to be said for CAS... your card is striking and it's a great way to mass produce Christmas cards!

What a gorgeous Autumn card! I think it looks really lovely with those fab colours, even minus the embossed edge! Heavens, I must make a start on Christmas cards or the festive season will be upon us and I'll be crafting on Christmas Eve! Julie Ann xx

Absolutely scrumptious leaf - a great take on Joanne's inspiration, and I love that DD quote. Sorry to be behind - again - but life is slowly returning to normal, so I'm looking forward to catching up soon.

Soooo beautiful Helen and so perfect for this time of year. I don't think it needed the embossing - it's just perfect as is.
