Inspired by... Jo Myhill for Paperartsy

This week we have been thrilled to see Jo Myhill unveiled as the latest guest designer for the Paperartsy blog and even though it's taken me all week, I was certainly inspired to have a play .  I have sort of combined two of her pieces in one, here, although it's mostly based on her third project of the week.

I started with a piece of grey board and painted it with two coats of Lake Wanaka, followed by two coats of South Pacific.

I mixed South Pacific with my grunge paste and the mini Art is stencil

Treasure Gold
Foil - I didn't have any fun foam so used the back of a piece of cut and dry foam.  Helps if you use the foil right way up... even though I'd read the blog again... doh!!

Then I seem to have forgotten some step by step pictures!
I had some spare die cut shapes left from when I was trying to get my DragonsDream DT piece done earlier this week.... so they came in handy!  Have loads of paper flowers in my stash!
and the fabric was purchased last weekend at the Bead Scene.
oops the cat looks a bit scuzzy!

Thanks, Jo, your projects were fantastic this week, I loved making this one!
Entering it here for the Paperartsy challenge.

Stunning love this piece. The colors are gorgeous! I love the detail you got from the grunge paste with the stencil. I haven't tried added colour to the paste. I normally just paint over the top, so I am going to try that. :)

I love the effect of the Lake Wanake and South Pacific together and your printing on fabric looks great. The whole piece comes together so well. A really lovely make. It's getting on for midnight and I've just finished mine, which I'll try to link tomorrow morning. I've been trying to get round to it all week too! Julie Ann xx

Oh fabulous... now I get to see what the paste was 'leftover' FROM - and it's fantastic! Love the foil, and the fabric layer, and the corrugated layer too of course! Gorgeous work - one of my all-time favourites of yours, I think.

Poor cat! Scuzzy indeed. I love these colours again - see - I would probably stick to what Julia calls 'wee' colours and purples if it wasn't for you! I love these shades.
