Follow your Heart.. to Alison Bomber

On Alison's 2nd project of the month, for Paperartsy,  she's used tissue covered buttons and tags and decorated a gorgeous chunky canvas.

I decided to use a slightly thinner one, and used Darcy's hearts stamp sets (after hours of deliberation!)  This is my version.
Once again I direct you to the Paperartsy blog where Alison will share how she constructed the frame.
I then stamped my images using Cornflower Blue edged with Cobalt archival inks, then used salty ocean and faded jeans distress inks round the edges of the stamped images before scuffing them with my paper distresser (which has lost it's scuffing ability, I guess it's gone blunt...)

I used Antarctic and Lake Wanaka as my paint colours, and Pearl Glaze as I don't have the metallic one.  White Fire treasure gold round the grunge paste
I quite like how this came out - thanks again, Alison! I am entering this to the Paperartsy challenge here

Yay, Twitter link working again now! This is gorgeous Helen. Your colours work beautifully and I love the tags. The buttons worked perfectly too so a fab challenge entry all round. Would love to have had a go at this one but sadly by the time OH and I down decorating tools and have dinner I can't stay awake this week, lol!

Hugs

Ooh, yummy! Love those colours (dying to get my hands on them...), and Darcy's stamps are a great choic on the tags. Thanks so much for joining in again - so glad you've been having fun with it!

I planned to stop by earlier in the week, but got caught up in real life issues. Now I'm here and want to thank you for visiting me so often, even when I didn't have time to reciprocate.

I agree that this is one of my favorite spreads you have made. It is superb. I like everything about it, right down to the buttons and the detailed grunge paste background. Now I'm off to see what else I've missed!
