Inspired by Alison Bomber (Butterfly) for Paperartsy

I have been following Alison's blog for a while now, and always, without fail, love her projects.  So yesterday when the new semester started at Paperartsy, it was announced that Alison was the first of the new guest designers.  We were in for a treat.

Alison created a trio of panels on the Paperartsy papier mache hanging boards, but I didn't have three, so used 3 of the Paperartsy heavy, coated grey board pieces instead.

I followed Alison's tutorial, and some of the same stamps, so check her post here for the low-down

This is my version.

I've used Frescos in Guacamole, Sage, Snowflake, Vanilla, and Tinned Peas.  The tissue stamping I used Background 6 from the Ink and the Dog range.
the sequin waste stencilling was with Green Olives
For my stamped and embossed images I used the Wendy Vecchi Cornflower Blue ink (I LOVE this blue!) and clear embossed it.
Added some butterfly/moth images, and sepia stamping same as Alison did, but avoided using the same images wherever possible.

For my Fresco embossing, at the bottom of each panel I used one of the Dylusions border stencils and Holly Fresco.  It worked better than I thought - though you do have to heat it for a while for the embossing to work... I was starting to panic!
Finally added some script stamping in sepia archival, and some grunge paste stencilled through a sequin waste stencil - I decided to leave this white as there was quite a lot of colour on it by now..

The three panels - I forgot to get some chopsticks or anything else to fix them all together, so for now, they are still separate.

Alison, thank you for this first challenge (and indeed, today's which is equally fabulous) - I had loads of fun with this!!

It's delicious, Helen - love your embossed border at the bottom, and the grunge paste in its natural state is delicious too (mine would probably have stayed that way if not for an accidental brush with the blending tool!). Thank you so much for all your lovely support - this week, and over so much longer too!!

Just went and had a peep - I love the idea of holding it all together with chopsticks (and good excuse for a takeaway *g*)

This is really lovely Helen - hope it's going on the wall and not in that huuuuuge pile of finished projects? (Criminal!)

Wonderful job Helen, it looks great! I also found it took longer than usual to heat emboss on the paint - I was worried my card would end up scorching before it melted, but it got there in the end.

Helen...you are a quick study of Alison's work! Isn't her work amazing? Your triptych is beautiful! I really love your backgrounds and your lovely images that you've embossed. The flowers and butterflies are so pretty against the stenciled and stamped backgrounds. Nicely done! Thanks for sharing your art with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. <3 Candy
