Craft Barn Alpha Dictionary - G

The latest in the fortnightly challenges from the Craft Barn Dictionary Alpha challenge was launched today - and it's G.

I rummaged through the dictionary and then through my stamp drawers - found some long forgotten hardly used stamps by Stampendous....This is the result.

I painted the background with a mixture of Sage, Hey Pesto and Guacamole Fresco paints, and stamped the 3 images on white card, colouring them with watercolour pencils before cutting them out and laying them on the page..

I've recently bought some Bombay Inks by PH Martin - acrylic India Ink - lush colours, this is the turquoise I've used, and one of my late Dad's calligraphy dipping pens... this nursery rhyme seemed appropriate to the word I chose!

I took some white paper flowers, stamped on them in archival ink and brushed some Squeezed Lemonade distress ink over the top, to finish the page off.

Ah, now I understand all the messages about India Inks on Twitter! Beautiful pages! Super colours and effects, so delicate. I love anything to do with gardens! I completely missed Z last time. Maybe I'll catch up and do Z and G together! Life's got a bit busy again! Julie Ann x

Wonderful page Helen:-)

Saw the Bombay inks in June and considered getting some. The colours are so vibrant in the bottles, especially the purple and orange:-)

I'm so jealous - I've been drooling over those inks for ages. Love what you did with them - going to be thinking of that rhyme all day now :)

Lovely pages, and the glowing words look amazing - how lovely to use your Dad's pen to do them.

Fab pages for the Alpha Challenge Helen. Those stamps are really pretty but I never use anything like that purely because I don't have the patience to colour them in, lol! Love the one with the arch!

You chose lovely images and coloured them well. I have been considering the inks for a long time but still not sure how I could use them. I take it you don't have the ELB03 stamp from PA... it's got that "How does you garden grow" saying!
