Craft Barn Alpha Challenge - Z

So this fortnight, we are at the last letter of the alphabet - though not the end of the challenge.  Z.... a true challenge from the Craft Barn

My dictionary (which is half/half dictionary/thesaurus) has no Z pages - because I painted over them when I did my Y definition... so I had to hunt down a spare.

There weren't many words I could interpret easily or well, so I took the Z zed (zee if you are American) definition itself.
I cut the definition from my spare dictionary, and glued it to mine, and painted the page with Stone Fresco paint, and dug out as many alphabet stamps as I could find, stamping them around the pages.

and a couple of Grungepaper Z's too... Painted one Eggplant and Blood Orange, before adding some Treasure Gold

and a smaller one, French Roast, and adding Treasure Gold.

I don't think this will be winning me a place on the wall of fame like my D (drip) page did - thanks again to the Craft Barn for that honour!

I love this 'Z' page, Helen. Well done on making the Hall of Fame too with your D for drips! Oh my, I don't quite know if I'm going to be able to participate in this one. Z - I'll have to get my thinking cap on and just hope Time doesn't defeat me!Julie Ann xx

Love your page.
When I picked my Y word I kept Z in mind - a little gentle cheating on my part! ;)

Great improvisation, I might need to think outside the box for this one! BJ with butterflies in tummy about tomorrow - gulp!

I can't believe you made it all the way to Z. I would have given up long before that!

What's the next challenge going to be?

Hi Helen, I had just about decided that I was going to have to take this approach for letter X - sometimes you just have to work with what you've got! Great concept and I love the textured pieces. MMx

Good idea, I don't have zed but I nearly did zero, in fact I might if it is in the English section!

Great way to get round your 'z' problem. I can't say I'm liking the look of any of the remaining letters, but as you have shown there is a solution to be found for these tricky letters.

Elegant simplicity.
Made me think it could help you nod off when you came to the end of the book.:-)
