WOYWW? the one where she goes to craft club...

Hello again... welcome to another Wednesday globe-trotting snooping (no other word for it!) round the assorted desks and crafty workspaces of the world... all links available here at Julia's

Well yesterday was the monthly craft club meeting... but before I went there was some crafty shopping to unpack...
and yes, the tell-tale sign of a red Royal Mail "your parcel needs a signature" card for something else (oops!)

the cream blob at the front is some of Tim Holtz's crinkly ribbon (the stuff you can colour, scrunch and heat dry to make it - erm crinkle, amazingly!) and a couple of packs of his rub-ons... need to have a go at his May tag!!

I also had time to start work on a canvas inspired by a piece for Paperartsy by Sue Carrington who is the first of the next batch of guest designers..
Obviously I haven't got far yet...

So, that's my own "desk"... what about craft club...

well it was finish off the mosaics and then on to more decopatch as we all had such fun with it last time...

Fellow WOYWW BJ busy decopatching her initials
My MDF pen pot.
and my "desk" back at home again, with grouted mosaic tile (can't wipe it off yet obviously the grout hasn't set), my pot, and some extras - some rolls of mesh stuff (my SIL was having a clearout for club proceeds!  and some flowers (my raffle prize)

Next month it's "knit and knatter" oops "knit and natter"! or BJ is going to teach us to crochet...

thanks for stopping by... see you at a desk near you, soon!

Love the flowers you have there...if you sprinkle dry grout over your coaster while it is wet, then the process is faster and you can wipe it clean quicker...a tip I was given. #30

I had read your Kew post actually and thoroughly enjoyed your amazing photos. I haven't been there for aeons...must rectify that this year!
I LOVE the art journal form your previous post...I mean, really love it! That's just me on a page! The colours, the patterns, the writing is just enough, not fussy or frilly...it's perfect. Clever you!
I'm really looking forward to the crop now...need to start thinking what to do for lunch!!

I popped in to the local Library a month back and they have a card club that meets there. I did go to the last one, and while I am not all about the cards, I do enjoy getting out and spending time with like-minded folk, so it was worth it for that. Photos are, indeed, wonderful, and as ever there is simply too much to see on your desk/floor :)

Helen, you must share some crochet tips after you take your class. I tried to teach myself a few months ago--and my crochet piece kept trying to go in a circle!! Then I found out about Julia's elephant! Love how busy you are though. Hugs! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #96
