Cracked Glass

Tonight I've got some Art Part art to share with you - for a challenge hosted by the yahoo group Everything Wendy Vecchi - Lori has asked us to make a piece based on Wendy's book 3, page 22 which uses rock candy distress paint.

I decided to break open some Art Part packs for this challenge.

I painted the frame with Pewter Paperartsy Fresco paint, used distress stain and ink on the kraft resist paper for the background in the frame.  The art part bottle is painted with Old Gold Fresco paint, then the rock candy distress paint is added.  Used various distress stains for the art part flower and leaves and the grungepaper flowers.

I am also entering this to the Pan Pastels challenge "add a flower" which I am just in time for, as it closes tomorrow, and Hels' Sunday Stampers  which is "summer colours" and also closes tomorrow. Nothing like last minute...

Thanks for looking.

Love the bright colours - don't really see you on the oranges much and yet they suit you! Love breaking open a new lot of Art Parts - and you've done them proud! Love the cracked glass - hoping I'll find time to play too!

A super piece of artwork Helen, it evokes thoughts of Madeira to me, I think it's the colours which remind me of the Paradise Flowers.

Have a good weekend, but hope it's not such a good one for the Canaries.

Thankyou for dropping by ...nice to know I have been missed.Just had a catch up on your blog ...love what you are doing ...AMAZING journal pages and the altered book too ...wow.

I have not been on line for a several reasons. Healthwise my ankles keep swelling badly when sitting still unless up ...must go to the dr but last time they found my diabetis and then had me worrying about my heart unnesessarly.Secondly I'm more into knitting at the moment ...now I've got into it after 30 years but mainly ...my computer died a couple of days BEFORE DD was going to transfer all my bits on to an external hard drive. It got me down but there is hope ...we have a travelling computer doc in Fife ...just need to make contact when I have spare cash ..too many other things claiming my money at the moment ...and I NEED my break at the end of May.
How come I am writting this then? I hear you wonder ..I have had to borrow DD laptop when I can ...otherwise I would have withdrawl symptoms ...but its not the same so I haven't felt like posting ...but I will do a quick one soon.....Bet you wish you handn't asked LOL Thanks for caring xx
