Diamonds are Forever

Being Sunday, there is a new SundayStamper challenge - with a theme of Diamonds - in whatever form we like.

So, I found some diamond patterned paper from my shabby vintage stack - I can't seem to stop using this stack now! and made a card using some grungepaper flowers. I covered it with a thin layer of gesso to lighten the colour of the paper a little.

All stamps are by Wendy Vecchi and inks are distress inks in crushed olive, roken china & faded jeans.
This flower reminds of "Little Weed" from the Flowerpot Men - even though she was a yellow sunflower - which is really showing my age!!
Turned the flash off for this close up, it's made the base flower look quite orange, but it IS crushed olive!
I always seem to stamp this "imagine" crooked, no matter how straight the stamp looks on the block, lol!
Used some scraps of grungepaper to layer up and add dimension to the blue flower.

Love this card - so clever to use the paper for the diamond theme. Sadly, I'm old enought to remember 'Weed' too :( Your flower is lovely. Elizabeth x
