Bring Out Your Masks!

Managed to combine two challenges today - Simon Says show us "masking" and Linda's Compendium challenge 27 - already! - has us working on page 60 of Tim's book (you need to check the book out for the details)  Both challenges have a great prize on offer for one lucky crafter.

I have had a small frame with canvas insert for a while, and hadn't know what to do with it.
I didn't mean to use the same mask that Tim has in his book sample, but I don't have that many!

I used honey amber glimmer mist and craftynotions black star copper but I do find this splodges a bit, though it has dried ok.  I used the Tim small stamp of the mask image in the middle and then another of the masks from the timeworks mask sheet with wild honey distress ink.  I used the same ink over the frame, sanding it lightly first to give the ink a bit of a key.   I wanted to put something else in the corners of the frame, but couldn't find anything in my stash (need to go shopping...?!)  It's not steampunky enough!

The sentiment is from Wendy V.

No I love it just the way it is - your whole attention is drawn to what's inside the frame. And that is gorgeousness! Love it!

Ooh Helen, this looks fab. I love the way you have stamped the clock over the masked image.

Helen, it's beautiful. No need for anything in the corners of the frame. Perfect as is.

Helen, this is hang-it-on-the-wall beautiful! Wow, you really created a great work of art with the masking and overstamping and cool little embellishment. I love the contrast of steampunk imagery with the soft rosy purple tones. I really don't think it needs anything else-- this is perfect just as it is!
