WOYWW - 22.9.10

So, here we all are again! Time to meet at Julia's to catch up on the workspaces of the world!

My patch on the floor is pretty bare tonight (I am writing this on Tuesday night as normal) because I can't decide what to do for 2 challenges, so neither have got off far the ground! (well, obviously neither have, cos of me working on the floor, but you know what I mean.  I think I was trying too hard to make one thing do for both and my brain went into meltdown!

The top one is meant to be for Tag Tuesday "banners" but I know not what I'm doing. And the big one - well, I haven't done Sunday Stampers "at the movies" yet.... I give up for today.

So instead I have some pics of the 'creative' mess around me as I kneel on the floor, which I know many of you still can't believe I do.... Shame I can't prove it, but there's no-one to take the pic of me doing so!

One day I will replace the old video recorder (in the background) with a dvd, but I wouldn't be without my cable tv for sky sports!
Anyhow, this is my now full craft spinner with my DI blender tools, (need another one sometime) The little wire pot holds my mini misters with my DI reinker/perfect pearl mixes. There are some empty ones in there too that I haven't got round to making up yet

Boxes of stash all around me!! No spare surfaces in MY living room! Behind my WOYWWAC and my box of terra/croco is a cardboard box lid (it sits on top of my paint dabbers) that holds my "bits and pieces" of cut off paper, grungepaper etc that "will be useful one day". The box for my eco green paints is now too small for them, hence the heap on top!
And that orange ribbon is tumbling out of it's little plastic packet. Must put that in the box with all the other ribbons...

And to the left is a little pile of stamps (that is growing) that haven't made it to any box/drawer/overflow system yet. Some of them are still unused, some of them are new favourites...
The plastic boxes (more of the business card boxes like the ones I rescued a few weeks ago) hold buttons, washers, some bits of grungepaper flowers etc etc!  The copper wire is the roll I 'borrowed' from my dad's shed last time I went to see my mum - she says, the more I can take from the shed, the better!  He must have wound it round this stick himself. Kind of nice, having something of Dad's close by!

It looks SO messy in the photos - it kind of brings it home to me just how MUCH stuff there is here....ah well, when I win the lottery I can buy a big crafting house..... yeh, right! (but I can hope!)
Anyhow,  blogger is playing up so I think I'll call it a day for this week.
Off to Ally Pally on Saturday (hurrah!) hope to meet up with some of you there. Have a great Wednesday.

Even before you made the comment of obviously not getting off the ground, I thought the same thing you wrote in the next sentence. I'm starting to think British (grin).

Before I forget, hope you take some photos of Ally Pally. Would love to see the madness.

Like you, I'm old school with my VCR. I just refuse to go to DVDs when I can stay stuck in the 90s (tee hee).

You really DO have a lot of stash. I bet you will bring back even MORE after Sunday. Have a great WOYWW.

Love that wire stand you have - tiered holders are the way to go - must look out for one.
What a busy area you have - love how you are crafting on the floor - made me smile - I just put things on the floor but never got down to craft on it.
Have a great time at AP and look forward to reading about your stash.

No, there's no way I could craft on he floor, I'd have to stay down there and wait for hubby to come home to get me up, or walk around on my knees till I found a suitable place to help heave on to help me up. I had a tidy up. Had to get down on the floor to pull out things that had falling down the back. Frog the cat thought it a great game, and came and sat on my head. Purring of course. You have so much stuff, but then, if it were all in cupboards, would there be items that would never be seen again? Out of sight out of mind? Have a great woyww...

Fabulous space this week, what a lot of stuff. "will be useful some day" makes me laugh - I have stuff I've carted back and forth across the ocean for the better part of 17 years and have actually used some of it, so take heart!

There's so much stiff there that I can't even see half the things you point out! I do see a PB Maple stamp though! I often wonder that if you do move one day an move all your stuff out what your carpet underneath all those boxes would look like!! Have a great time at the show too.

Hi Sorry this is a quick cut & paste but not too well and wanting to let as many as possible know I have visited. I am going to read all blogs on my blackberry when I have a lie down but can't comment very well & can't sit for too long at laptop to type - sorry seems little impersonal but all explained on my blog

Now You are a dedicated crafter and must be very young and fit. I use my kitchen table to craft on. If I ever got down on the floor, I would never get back up. I would always be afraid someone would take a picture of me getting up and post it on the internet. Ha Ha
Happy WOYWW, Linda #50

Wow I want to rummage through all your goodies! Hip surgery keeps me off the floor most of the time, so crafting there for me unless I want to spend some time getting back up. More power to you, whatever works, works.

Hiya!
What a nice snoop around all your stuff! I am amazed that you can do your crafting on the floor! Still everybody has their own unique style! I am looking forward to meeting you at ALLY PALLY!

Great work area...looks like you have tons to work with

Susanne said...

I rarely work on the floor, but you'll often find my supplies there when the desk gets overloaded. I do spread out on the floor when I'm rearranging layouts and filling up scrapbooks. I like your tiered wire basket storage idea - might have to act on that one.

Leo said...

I'm always kicking stuff around on the floor too although I don't think my knees would take working off the floor so hats off to you hun!
Have fun at Ally Pally! xx Leo

Woweee! That is aMAZingly messy, and that's no way a criticism, lol! Messy means creative, obviously! I am loving looking at all your stash, and whilst all around you there is chaos(ish), you have achieved that of which I am incapable - ie, a decent-sized space to work in! I sometimes actually LOSE the thing I am working on! TFS! Helen (46)
