WOYWW 833

Hello lovely deskers, welcome to another week's WOYWW .  It was good to celebrate our 16th anniversary last week. The link is over at Sarah's

I am sharing the atc from Mary Anne and the card from Jan that I received.

I am sorry I couldn't join the zoom get together-(although the code didn't come through)  as  I was quite late back from Kew) I hope you all had a good natter

I took a shot standing up of my workspace this time

before a close up of the journal spread I worked on at the weekend

Last week's trip to Kew was colourful

tulip tree flower

and the ox eye daisies are back in the rock garden

I have a few days off now so depending on Wednesday's weather I may be out when you visit.

WOYWW 780 - happy anniversary to us!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday - week 780 - is 15.  what an achievement.  I am sure when Julia started this all those years ago she never dreamt it would still be going all this time later.  A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then and we have seen each other through good and bad times. Thank you Julia, for everything.

Normally for celebrations you buy presents... even if for yourself... amazingly I haven't bought any new goodies for... oh at least 2 weeks!

so instead, here are the anniversary atcs most of which will come with me to the crop on Saturday for swapping.

I played with a journal page background (the yellow neon paint)  by adding some stenciling, and tissue wrap. the flower is a Dina stamp, stamped on some of her blank tissue.

then I ran out of oomph... so another part done page!

I could give Mary Anne a run for her money with part done pages but she's been finishing hers off!

Kew last Saturday was meant to be hot - it didn't start that way, but buddy Kim and I had fun again with the sculptures.

I'm really looking forward to seeing those of you going to the crop on Saturday - if I can decide what to bring with me I will hopefully get some crafting done!

For those of you not going, I hope you have a great week.

WOYWW 624 - When we were 12

Hello, happy deskers,  it's week 624 of WOYWW  - we are 12.  A big thanks to Julia for starting (and keeping it  going), this wonderful desk hop - it's never too late to join the fun - here

My atcs are ready to post - just waiting for my PIF partner to send them off and i've already had a couple  in the mail - thanks Caro and Jan - but i'll wait till next week to share them, along with the ones I'm sending out.

I failed completely to find postcards of Sutton, and unlike Jan wasn't clever enough to get my own picture of Sutton printed.  So, it's atcs only.

So, you're here to see a desk floor  (after 12 years, still on the floor)

I took this sideways on sitting at the computer

you can see my pile of envelopes (under the stamps)  ready to go

and a journal page I finished off on Tuesday

(today, at time of writing - I was off work today as I was having a smart meter fitted )

it's inthe 6x6 white Dina Wakley journal

I have an order on the way to me (almost enabling, for WOYWW)  with some more goodies.
It may even be waiting for me at the office tomorrow

Last weekend's Kew post is here

it wasn't quite as wet last week!  Back to an 8am entry slot this Saturday, and the glasshouses are open again with the latest easing in restrictions which I am really looking forward to, and there is a new exhibition in one of the galleries too called Naturally Brilliant Colour which should be fabulous.

Thanks to all of you WOYWWers who have made the last 12 years such fun, whether you are new or old  long established members of the group  - you all make Wednesdays a fun day!

WOYWW 367 - they keep coming!

Hello deskers it's that time again... it's wonderful to see our much loved Head Desker Julia making the odd comment and post on facebook, so glad you are (slowly) on the mend..
We are also grateful to Lunch Lady Jan for stepping into the breach and heading up the desk sharing for now... I've cleared my cookies and browsing history so let's hope I can link up by myself today!!

anyhow, "they keep coming" could refer to - anniversary atcs  -  or knowing me - shopping..
as it happens... it's both!
this is how my desk WAS going to look today.. my anniversary swap partner was the lovely Bridget in Australia and her gorgeous sparkly atc arrived last Thursday.  there's also a newly started (and very pink) journal page and a birthday card
then, on Sunday my entry to the Paperartsy 'houses' topic challenge was randomly awarded a prize which I spent no time in claiming and choosing my goodies  which arrived today (oops, Tuesday I mean)
so it could have looked like this...
but, also on Tuesday, I had a surprise in the mail too, from the lovely Dolores (Cardarian) of another atc and a beautiful card... very unexpected and so welcome!
Thank you....

so, it actually looks like this!!

Happy desking, catch you all soon!

Happy Anniversary WOYWW 312

So, we have arrived at the 6th anniversary of this, the best blog hop in the world... and all dreamt up by Julia... You know what you have to do.. link up here and have fun!  Thanks Julia, for providing the wherewithall for this wonderful way to spend Wednesdays... and thanks to all of YOU for making it such fun and providing such friendship.
First, the "desk"...
A pile of journals, (I've been working in the A5 one, and the A4 one is the one I worked on at crop, and I had to add a coat of varnish to the page, as something was making the pages stick together) and err.. oops a new Moleskine one I "just happened to see" at the weekend.. well it doesn't hurt to have spare(s) does it... underneath all of those are a couple of music books that Julia/Jan donated to a worthy cause and I'll do something "useful" with soon...
This was my pile of atcs I took to crop to swap (having kept one for my official swappee today, and one for myself)

As promised last week, I'll share a closer look at the ones I received at crop.
 Janet, Chris

Hettie (Sam) Eliza
Zoe, Julia

Elizabeth, Cardarian (Dolores)
 Jo (Twiglet), Annie (Wipso)

Kyla, Jan (LLJ)
Shaz, Nikki

Margaret, Mary Anne

Debbie (Tattered Rocks), Morti

Mine! (I forgot I'd got the "pre" shot, or I wouldn't have included it again here..

I think you'll agree they are all absolutely fabulous

So, this is a lot longer than it should have been, but I guess I'll be forgiven today Julia... Happy WOYWW everyone, here's to the next 6 years!
