WOYWW 822

Welcome again fellow deskers - another WOYWW has rolled around.. Sarah has the link details

I've even less to share this week,  I managed to NOT buy any of the new Paperartsy stamp sets that were released last week... I know, right?!

but so that I have something to show for my week, I made a card...

I did mean to stamp some words and put them on it, but kind of .... stopped!

Some of you saw the photo I put on FB as I was on my way to Kew last Saturday...

it was really cold too..

but (and for once the forecast was right) it got better...

and we found blossom - Spring is coming!
huge shadows and blue skies, yay!

and my favourites!

thanks for looking, see you soon, and happy WOYWW

Morning! Not like me to be so early on the list! I did try to bring back some blue skies with me from Tenerife but I think we chose a good time to be away by all accounts. I have been trying (not very successfully) to keep up with all the walking we did and have certainly noticed lots of signs of Spring when out and about. Still pretty nippy first thing though. Well done you for resisting the new PA release but now I will have to go and see what they were. Happy WOYWW, love n hugs Cindy #3

I don't enjoy the cold mornings but it does make a very atmospheric photo. Much nicer to enjoy those blooms in the sunshine though.😃 I love the image on your card and I don't think it needed anything else.x x Jo 🌈

Isn’t it wonderful when signs of spring appear

Wow. The contrast between the damp cold street and the lovely bright blooms is stark! Can't wait for spring - minus the usual rain LOL! I struggle to ever make an AJ page without words, but I know you will be returning to it...eventually :D
Happy knitting day WOYWW!

That really was a pea souper wasn’t it?And when you put it on FB. It was blue skies here in Wales, amazing how different it can be. Well done for resisting the PA lure, I’ve had quite an expensive week buying keyboards, ah well, you can’t take it with you lol!!

Hi Helen, when I saw the photo originally I thought it was historical. I remember seeing photos like that of the fog when I was a child. Pleased the weather picked up for you. I try not to look at the Paper Artsy stamps as I know I will want them so well done you. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x9x

I cannot believe you resisted buying some of the new PPA stamps. Do you think you will succumb in the weeks to come?
I like the card you made and to be honest I think it looks fine without words. Quite often these days I send cards without words on the front. One I sent to a friend in February was liked so much she bought a frame for it and now it is a picture - couldn't have done that with words on.
Gosh that certainly was a dismal morning when you set off out, thank goodness it brightened up.

We woke to exactly the same conditions today, can't see the car from the house, and now it's absolutely lovely...even calling me to start the great garden reclaim..I'll hang on for a bit, see if the feeling passes. Imagine you just stopping on a card make, I wonder if you were distracted, couldn't find a phrase you wanted or just ran out of 'bothered'. I'm hopeless at leaving a card front without words, it takes an act of will!

Lovely photos from Kew - makes me believe Spring really is coming! You seem to be getting it earlier than we do, we usually have to wait until the end of April to start getting the flowers. Your journal page is lovely, I love that stamp, I may have that image, but sadly, not the stamp. Have a wonderful week, Lindart #15

Hi Helen
That rainy picture is the weather I envision when I think England. I don'[t mean to stereotype - just what television, movies and books give us most of the time.
Love the flowers.
I can't believe you passed up the new stamps! Should we have you examined? ;-) Love ya. Hugs & Creative Blessings!
