WOYWW 774

Happy April (already!) and time for another WOYWW.  I hope you all had a happy Easter - have you got any chocolate left?

My new ink pads still haven't arrived (even at the supplier) which is a pain.

With a long weekend I was determined to have a bit of crafting time...

I followed a Dina supporter "live" with some paint sploshing.. (it's meant to be abstract, a starting point )

before tearing it up and using bits - tiny bits...

on a journal page

then it was back to the Paperartsy Mattints on some printed pages a friend sent me

the first one was stuck to a journal page
a second one I coloured with Distress Oxides in mainly pastel shades,  and stencilled some white paint (a leafy design - a Stencil Girl stencil )  which I then added some more Oxides over the top..

the plan is to cut this up, or die cut it...  if I can find a die i like and that will be big enough to show the patterns.

Kew on Saturday of course,  and there was sun again!
the tulips are coming out...
and despite the strong winds and rain during the week, lots of blossom still too..

Thanks for looking, and I'll be round to visit soon.

Happy WOYWW

Love your pages! I can see some fun die cuts from your second one. I love the colors! I like the way you used the bits on your journal page. Very nice composition!

Beautiful flowers! Nothing has bloomed in my backyard. I am so ready! But we do have two Hummingbirds already so I am taking joy in that! They are so calming!

Be well and have a brilliant week!

Love the tulip, I often wish they would stay at that semi open stage. It always seems to happen around here when the blossom is out on the trees and they line the road with their beauty, down come the rains and washes them all off forming a huge carpet of pink,
Think I am getting sold on those new paints, some lovely pages there.

I'm loving the project today and sorry your new stash hasn't arrived I think everything has slowed down because of Easter as I have been waiting for something too. Lots of blossom here too but the wind has spoilt some of it. Have a good woyww. Hugs Angela x7x

Ah tulips. They really do signal SPRING. And those pretty pastel pages too - what a good friend to send them to you. Plain old circles will allow the pattern to show thru....
Back on track so Happy WOYWW!

Love your journal pages and the message ‘Don’t think, just paint!’
Your Kew visit was lovely, especially the Glory of the snow. I haven’t heard of them. All the blossom and the tulips were beautiful.
Take care and happy WOYWW

I like the way you have used some of your sploshy painty piece. I like, too, the message to stop thinking and just paint. I need to apply that to when I'm working on my scrap pages. Gorgeous photos - it's a shame the blossom is soon over. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #16

Hi Helen thanks for your visit. I’ve been having problems with blogger and havent quite got it sorted yet. I can’t seem to comment on some folks blogs. All a bit techi for me haha.
I am quite taken with your collaged page, it popped out at me x

Hiya Helen and thanks for your earlier visit. Those tints are starting to call to me I swear!! Glad you had a good day at Kew - I am so over this rain, but must stop letting it dictate my day. I have Lionel today and thought it would be wet and miserable but it's actually been an OK morning we could have gone out. Think it will rain before tea time though!! Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #8

Nope no chocolate left. I got us each a mini egg egg and mine went on Sunday. Hubby still has his stashed somewhere!!! A friend got me a bunny on Monday and that went on Tuesday. Both packaging on a journal page (see next week)
Love the abstract and torn pieces, must try that, might do that tomorrow now...Oh I still haven't got any Oxides, look at me....Adore the soft butterfly page. Hugs BJ#13

Sorry I'm late Helen, I go backwards through the list some weeks! I love the splosh and tear/cut up page, I think it does add nicely to your 'stop thinking' page. In a very basic similarity, this is what I try to do with all my scrapbook paper scraps, use them on other pages. It does however, create a bowl full of littler scraps....but you'll be good with those. I really like the look of the mattints (in your hands), that page will make some great pieces.
