Hello fellow deskers. Wednesday again and time for WOYWW . and the end of yet another month!
I have't got a lot to share today as I did diddly-squat at the weekend, coming down with a cold and apart from Kew, zero energy!
I hadn't even opened the neon glosses until Tuesday evening,
you have to shake them very hard to re-mix the colour as the neon settles out to a thick puddle at the bottom of the bottle
I managed to take a slightly wobbly one-handed photo of the dropper doodling neon on the page.
I think it was Mary-Anne who said last week that having droppers would give a different effect to sprays - well yes, sprays go everywhere (in my experience!) but the droppers are much more controllable. A totally different effect, for sure
I am hoping to be more productive next week!
There is one more early Kew opening this coming Saturday and come rain, shine or the remnants of my cold, I will be there...
till then, here's the link for last week!
Kim has indeed broken her ankle and at time of writing, has been stuck in hospital since last Tuesday waiting for surgery to pin the ankle - and it's looking like it will be delayed again!
it was a lovely sunny morningand more flowers on the cactus in the Princess of Wales conservatory.

Gosh those neons are certainly striking. Hope you are feeling better soon. Hugs BJ#1
Feel better soon Helen. Hope your friend Kim's operation isn't further delayed. Enjoy Kew on Saturday. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
First, thanks for letting me know about Kelly last week. I tried to leave her a comment, but kept getting the failed to publish, so finally gave up. Second, I didn't make it to Kew because I just can't sit that long. I will have to take a break soon tonight, I fear. Third, those neons remind me of pens I own, except these are in liquid form. Very different and unique. Fourth, get better soon, please. And I hope Kim gets her pin soon, too. Happy WOYWW from # 3.
That's not good about Kim waiting for an operation like that. What a state the NHS is in.
Hope your cold soon clears up, detest colds.
Not sure I understand those neons so need to see a finished result.
Hugs, Neet 8xx
Those Neon colours are amazing but sounds to me as though you need to take it easy for a while but I am looking forward to see what becomes of the neon paint, you obviously have a plan. Happy creative woyww. Hugs, Angela x14x
I’m sorry you’ve got a cold (it’s not Covid is it?) but I feel for Kim, waiting for surgery, that must be so painful bless her. Fingers crossed she gets sorted very soon. I’ll take your word for droppers versus sprayers, I guess it doesn’t go everywhere? Have fun anyway and I hope you feel better soon xx
Hugs LLJ 7 xx
It's that time of year that lots of people catch a cold... my beloved is under the weather too. HOpe you feel better very soon! Those droppers look nice, I find it hard to work with neons as those colours never seem to shine like they do in the examples... I might have to try with droppers too! Big hug from the Netherlands, Marit #17
Hi Neet - don't you just hate having a cold! It always makes life miserable for a couple of weeks. Luckily, I've managed to avoid it thus far this year. I also don't like how the sprays make those tiny dots of ink just where you don't want them - MaryAnne might be onto something with the droppers! Might be worth a try! Hope you feel better soon - lovely to start visiting desks again! xx zsuzsa #22
It looks like icing without the cake on your desk! Sorry to hear you have a cold and poor Kim, stuck in hospital waiting! I hope your cold gets better soon and of course Kim gets her op. Happy WOYWW. Angela #2
Duh - I assumed it was Neet's blog because of the black background LOL! I even thought, hmm, interesting that Neet started visiting Kew as well, not realising she's all the way up North. Feeling really silly now! Anyway - it was lovely catching up, Helen, of course! xx
I had a visit from that big sister of mine this morning...checking up on me :-)... hence why I'm late commenting.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well....you and me both it seems
Hugs,

Can't wait to see what you produce with those neons!!
Hope you're over the worst of your cold by now, lots of honeyed drinks is what I recommend. . . . and plenty of rest . . . and sleep!!
Have a good week otherwise

Best wishes to Kim. Hope she gets sorted soon and makes a speedy recovery. I hope your cold has cleared up. We have spent week up and down for Flu jabs, COVID jab tomorrow and surgery for annual health check. Now I need a day to do a little crafting. I never seem to get more than an hour or two at a time. x x x Jo
Hope you feel better soon and best wishes to Kim. Beautiful photos this week, some of them almost abstract, like the spider webs on the monkey puzzle and where you have an element in focus with blurs behind.
Take care, have a good week
Hugs

Oh Neons !! I haven't been brave enough to buy them, I'm trying to use up STASH.... But great colors. And some lovely flowers. Ours are dwindling away a and most are buying BIG HUGE MUMS...Very spendy this year and out here no one sees them but us SO I didn't purchase any. Enjoying the LEAF colors of Fall my favorite season. HAve a grea weekend
Neons aren't really my bag, but I appreciate the colors in others' works - I hope you have great fun creating with them!
I hope you're feeling much better now Helen π€ and that you enjoyed your early morning at Kew on Saturday ππΏ such beautiful photographs you take of the blooms π· How is you're friend doing now, what a nasty turn she has had... hoping the operation has happened π€I'm loving the pop of neon colour ππ Helen π definitely be easier to control that way rather than spraying. Thank you so much for your visit, sorry I'm late! Kane arrived safely in Japan so we are breathing much easier π✈️ Much love and hugs Tracy #19 xxxxx
Yep. it was me. IDK, I'm not convinced I will like droppers as much as sprays. Luckily there are cheaper spray-tops you can buy. I am also not keen on the decision to switch because it seems another case of manufacturers not being able to solve a problem so they change and try to make it a "better" option when I really do NOT think it is. Maybe it's just me. You have them, what do you think??
Happy, so very late, WOYWW!
