Happy Wednesday, deskers. time for another day desk hopping with Julia
once again there's not a lot been going on, but I started another couple of journal pages
neither anywhere near finishedand I prefer the one on the right, as the left page didn't go quite how I (didn't) planned.
there's a layer of stencilling under the top layer that didn't work (no photos) so it got covered up
we'll see what happens next!
and because I have't shared the mass of boxes for a while here they are once again.
the 4 big (no, 5, I can't count) all have Paperartsy stamps in
behind that are my original storage boxes - double stacked - all with my wood mounted stamps in. (apart from the other boxes elsewhere in the room....)
it all needs a good sorting out, but it's the kind of job you can't start unless you can finish as it will get worse before it gets better... so best to leave it as is!!
Saturday was of course, Kew
gorgeous colours.
this coming Saturday we can't get in till 11 am as it's the second of the year's half marathons run in the gardens and given that the day is meant to be really really hot that is a pain!
I'll probably still go though!
Thanks for dropping by, happy WOYWW and see you soon.
Julia is away so has published early so I am linking early.

Sorry I missed Kew. I had planned to visit on Sunday, but I was in holiday mode.
I absolutely adore those ferns on an orange background. They are awesome. Happy WOYWW from # 5.
Hope it's not too hot for you on Saturday. I like both journal pages so far Helen. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #8
Thought I had a lot of boxes, oh I do says DH 😀
Love the page on the right too. Gorgeous sunflower. Anne x 13
Hi Helen you're not the only one that needs to do some sorting but other things keep distracting me. More guilt as well because I have journal pages unfinished, got behind with those too. Oh well we'll see. We've got the cycle race coming through Lincoln so that will probably close half the city, could you imagine that in London Hee! Hee! We just don't have the space. Have a great woyww. Hugs, Angela x15x
Love your boxes . . . I might share mine one day . . .
Take care on Saturday if you go

Sorting. Only if you can come up with another way to store as you move them. perhaps you should have floor to ceiling shelves so that you can at least see what you’ve got! I love both pages, the honeycomb looks almost 3d to me.
I am sure you will still go to Kew on Saturday. Glorious sunflower, what a fab photo.
Love the journal pages, in fact I like the one on the left best of all, just different tastes i guess, but both are lovely. I enjoy seeing your journal pages as you put so much into them and so many layers.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx
Love the journal pages and thanks for the photo of your stash! I can show it to my husband in hope of a favourable comparison!
Your Kew pics were lovely, especially the sunflowers, monkey puzzle details and the water lilies.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Lovely page and my goodness! Just the glimpse of your stash is awe-inspiring. I am NOT as clever a you - I often jump right in to re-organizing with no clear escape plan LOL! I get there in the end but it can be a hard slog. I'm with Julia - a wall of Ikea Billy bookshelves loaded with pull out bins would be my idea. Bet Kew will be hot - we are meant to go to the Sturminster Newton Cheese Festival with Dear Son+Girl this weekend and kinda dreading it.
Happy sunny WOYWW!

I love both pages! Love the colours in both of them. Fabulous colours in the sunflower. You can never have too many boxes - as long as you know what’s in them of course 🤣 Happy WOYWW. Angela #3

I like the journal page with the ferns - looks a bit tropical. Funny how everyone likes different ones. We crafters have so many boxes! Mine are spread around my room and some hidden behind curtains but there are still loads of them! x x Jo
HI Helen! I really like the page on the left - probably because you used my favourite colour palette! The page on the right has a lovely tropical feel to it. I'm sure you what's in every one of those boxes! Lindart #20
I'm running very late today but at least I've made it :-)
I love both the pages but I have to say I can imagine bees going on the first one.
Hugs,
Annie x # 11
Good morning, Helen.
I so hear you on the 'once you start' thing. That's why nearly all of my stamps are in a huge tub, plus the original photo boxes they were kept in. I hope to start that project in October. I'm tired of not being able to get to my stamps. Creative Blessings! ~ Kelly #19
I'm sorry I'm so late visiting Helen 💕 Gorgeous bursts of colour in your journal
... just like Annie I'm imagining the buzz of bees on your pages 🐝🌿💛 Oh my,look at those boxes ohhhhhh imagine the treasure inside 🤩🤩⭐️ now I'm itching to reach in for a keek 😆😁 Despite the heat I hope you get your turn around Kew, ever changing it will be through the seasons. Thank yooou so much for stopping by, despite being out my comfort zone I'm enjoying the course 😘Much love and hugs Tracy #10 xxx
Nice journal pages! And that sunflower photo - so lovely!
Oh my goodness, got a bit involved with the end of the acrylics course and seem to have signed up for a watercolour one too (wed-fri) and what with the heat and not sleeping even worse that usual, I'm only just emerging form all the stuff and the dust is settling.
Hope you aren't melting in this heat in Kew, I can't even stay outside for more than 5 minutes. I went to a church prayer meeting on Wednesday night but had to leave early as I was faint from the heat (air-con in car fortunately) even considering watching church on the live stream tomorrow and didn't even go to dancing or badminton this week. I think "hermit" is my middle name these days.
Well I love your unfinished journal pages but sure they will get even better. As for the boxes the only advice is only take out what you can put away in 15 minutes. Not an easy task in itself either. I'm sure you will figure it out somehow.
Hugs BJ#6
That is a lot of paper artsy stamps. yeah, I wouldn't start clearing up, you got it under control. How would you choose anyway? I too prefer the RH page, don't really know why. I'm sure they will be a lot different by the time you have finished. I bet it was hot at Kew today - my DiL was down that way running again this morning, haven't heard a peep from her since she got back, probably knackered!! I am so late gettig round but it is mega sweaty in my craft room, can o nly stand about 5 minutes at a time!! Have a good break and catch when I'm back. Love n hugs Cindy xx
ooh love the journal page on the right, are those leaves a stencil?
thanks for visiting my desk already
