WOYWW 730

Good morning deskers,  tis Wednesday once more, and time to share our crafty spaces... join us at the Stamping-Ground   (Julia, your atc hasn't turned up in case you think I'm being rude not acknowledging it!  )

My space this week is somewhat uninspiring...all I have is some new stencils to share,  that came at the weekend.

and some new collage tissue.

I haven't even taken them out of the packets to look at them but the tissue which is all alphabet based, is sure to be a favourite!

I had a couple of days out  over the Bank Holiday weekend,  Kew of course on Saturday  -  so much colour now, and it was delightful..

carnivorous plants in the sunshine (through windows)
and the laburnum arch

then on Monday I went to the Tower of London - partly to see the re-imagined display of the Crown Jewels (no photography allowed)  but mainly to see the Moat and this year's Superbloom - wildflowers and that really did not disappoint!   I did put a post  on Facebook but managed to delete the link to the blog  - oops! (I have edited it since)

they are intending to keep this going in the moat and they are learning about wildflower development , there were so many poppies, and loads of cornflowers.

thanks for visiting, I'll try and have some actual crafting to share next week!

Ooh, Helen, those flowers are lovely. I imagine the moat looks radiant.
Your newly acquired stash is equally lovely, some gorgeous stencil there. I look forward to seeing the tissue being used.

Loving your stencils and tissue you'll be making some lovely art with those soon. I don't seem to be having much luck with red poppies. Some come back year after year in a pot but none in the garden despite the sprinkling of seeds. I do have lots of yellow Welsh poppies though and I have a plethora of other ones as seedlings in the conservatory, I think they are the big pink ones. I got the seeds from some growing in the crack of the pavement on a geocaching walk last year. My birthday sweet peas are blossoming and the fragrance is delightful. Hugs BJ#7

The wild flowers are beautiful and the laburnum arch is impressive . Great new stash, where do you mainly order from? We have a laburnum tree just outside at the moment, a deadly beauty for sure. I wonder if most people know how toxic they are. You can not even burn Laburnum because the smoke is toxic! Angela #11

Wow I love those wildflowers at the Tower! I hadn’t noticed those deep purple cornflowers before, they’re gorgeous!! What a great idea that was to fill the moat with colour.

Wish I could get down to see the Moat . . . I remember the poppies, magnificent, as I presume the wildflowers are. Such a lot of hard work went into creating them both . . .
Love the stripy stencil, I bought a die similar and love it.
Have a creative week with your papers and stencils

Stunning photos Helen, the most looks amazing doesn’t it. So sorry your dash back to Kew for the big ugly smelly was foiled, typical nature! Nice collection of stencils, have to admit that my eye was totally drawn to the alpha tissue..took me a min to work out that it wasn’t a stencil and stop worrying about how jumbled up it would look!! Stronger glasses needed me thinks! Am aghast that you haven’t had my ATC and badge, dammit, I posted them all the day before the anniversary and a couple of them even arrived the next day which was not at all what I was expecting. I’ve got one left, so will rummage and get it off to you, sorry if you end up with two..not the most inspiring amongst all of them I can tell you!

Happy WOYWW. That tissue paper does look useful. Gorgeous flowers. We have given a lot of our back garden over to wild flowers for the past few years. Not many coming out so far, but it saves on a lot of mowing and the birds/insects love it. Ali x #17

This is for all deskers regarding the Refrigerator/freezer (R/F) debacle so I don't have to answer questions about it. Friend Sally is a member of our neighborhood (NH) online group and checked to see what available in our NH. She found a guy selling a R/F who lived about five blocks from me. I walked over and, even though I wanted a French Door R/F with a bottom freezer, I decided to buy this used R/F the NH man promised to deliver to my home right away. I spent all of Wednesday evening and Thursday getting the food out of the old R/F and into the new one. The used fridge looks very much like my old one. In fact, they are the same size and design. The man guaranteed the R/F for 90 days, so I couldn't beat that. Now I can take my time and buy the R/F I want and get it delivered in the time I want and not feel pressured or experience any lost food.

Oh my, I have serious stencil envy. I love the tissue with all the letters and the stencil that looks like a flower. I saw you had a Tower post, but haven't had time to visit. Hope life calms down so I can catch up soon. Happy WOYWW from # 3.
