Welcome back, one and all. It's Wednesday again which can mean only one thing... time to share all our creativity in the last week with Julia at the Stamping-Ground... well that won't take long!
I spent both Saurday and bank holiday Monday mornings at Kew (Monday saw the return of the members 8am early opening, which you probably remember from previous years I love, despite getting up at 5 am for...) So an extra visit was made!
I did stamp some images for a possible birthday card - did some heat embossing, for the first time in yonks - although it turns out my black ink pad needs re-inking (don't have it's re-inker...) so didn't work very well...so I swapped to a juicier deep blue pad...
just need to turn them into a birthday card now! or 3, maybe
I did finish the green/blue one I shared last time, but realise I've posted it without taking a picture of the final image .. ah well!
so, to the Kew bit... Saturday - glorious sun and blue sky - on this post and Monday - grey and cooler - on this one
several of you probably saw some of the peeks on FB or the posts already - thank you.
from Monday

Glad you are getting more Kew time Helen - hope the weather stays fine for you this coming weekend too. Love the dark blue embossing. Stay safe and Happy woyww. Sarah #?
I tend to buy a reiner with a pad these days although it isn't everyone who stocks them,
How good is that? You managed to get three cards out of one session, that's the way forward I have just decided.
Have a great time with your early visits to Kew now.

That's an interesting stamp but can't quite make out what all the design is. I often find just playing with the stamps ends in something good just like these. Love them. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x6x.
I’ve never been to Kew. I must put it on my list alongside the new RHS garden in Manchester.
Enjoy the weekend

I remember watching Julia doing some heat embossing, it was like magic and is possibly my most favourite paper craft thing! Glad you had fun at Kew, you must know every corner by now, you should work there as a guide!
Hugs LLJ 5 xx
I enlarged your first image and immediately had stamp envy - don't tell me!! I love the magic of heat embossing - why don't I do it anymore? Glad you are getting plenty of Kew time - just love tulips, they are my very favourite flower. Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #14
Gosh, love that effect on the vellum, yep, I think you have the making for three great cards there Missus. Now all I have to do is stop reading incorrectly, thought you were offering the birthday person a wee dram or two! Agree with you about watching the Coronation live, it’ll be marvellous!
Whooping gere at you having been to Kew both days Helen πΏπΌπͺ΄⚘️ how lucky you are being so near ... I live it through your gorgeous photos πΈ until I can come see it in person ... yep I almost fainted ππ until I read on ... have a marvelous time on Sunday and enjoy the coronation π Loving your embossed images π happpy cardmaking ππ€Έ♀️π❤️ Lot's of love and hugs Tracy # 10 xxx
Glad you got to Kew twice last weekend, Helen. I loved the light through the leaves and am surprised Kew’s peonies are flowering already. Mine don’t come out till June.
Enjoy your visit/a next weekend.
Take care and happy WOYWW

I'm doing a quick catch up of my favourite blogs in a brief break from my sewing...I'd had 4 customers before 9.30 this morning [crazy!!!].
Glad you managed some crafty fun between your Kew visits.
Hugs,

Love the little stamped images. I tried to have a go the other day.but found I had lost the very stamp I was looking for! Very annoying. Gave up and did a bit of sewing insteadππ
What a fabulous colour those orange flowers are. I am not sure we will be watching anything on TV as the signal is not good here. I haven’t been able to open Julia’s site for some reason so no number ! Happy WOYWW. Angela CWJ
Cool stamp, but my eyes read DRAMS not DREAMS. Thinking maybe your like a tipple? LOL! Pretty colours too and the Kew flowers always make me smile. From Dorset, it is a significant journey but maybe we'll get back there one day. Funny, but it was pretty much our first thing we visited the first time I came to the UK on a holiday. Lost my step tracker down the public toilet there... DOH!
Happy WOYWW ( just a day late :D )

Happy Belated WOYWW. I am still envious that you live close to Kew. It must be wonderful to go there regularly. I am taking the whole weekend off to watch the Coronation, plus my usual day off on Sunday. We are also off to Swansea for the day on Friday, so squeezing as much as possible in to today. No time for crafting, so yet again my ATCs will have to wait. Ali x #18
I love the image! Looking forward to seeing what more you do with it! The flowers at Kew are beautiful! Right now we have Daffodils and Magnolia trees in full bloom. Have a great week, Lindart #20
Love The Kew pictures, suddenly realised I have a Kew book! Have a great week Happy WOYWW!? ((Lyn)) #7
I've not done any heat embossing for yonks either, love what you did though. Bet you are over the moon with the Kew early times being reinstated but glad to see you're taking the day off/delayed for the Coronation.
Boots called me and agreed my experience was appalling and will be sending me a gift card as an apology, found out they don't currently have a manager which might account for it, I was called by a manager from a nearby branch, she was lovely. Not heard from my reglazer yet....Hugs BJ#15
Beautiful flowers Helen!
It was a wonderful coronation wasn't it? A shame about the weather. Hopefully it'll be drier tomorrow for your trip to Kew, and for our street party π
