Welcome deskers, it's Wednesday - and December! Time again to meet at Julia's for WOYWW
I made up some more cards at the weekend and had a count up and I may almost have enough soon.
I added some glitter glue to some of them and spread them out to dry.. resisting poking the glue is so hard!I bought my guillotine/trimmer and am getting used to it - one or two mishaps where I've lined things up wrong, but at least it cuts without tearin
when I was trying to squeeze the glitter glue out of the bottle, I thought, I must buy a new bottle.. went online and bought this little lot.. and forgot the glue!
DOH!
Kew last Saturday was extremely cold, as those of you in the UK will know, but at least there was no rain (forecast) or snow (shame, I'd love a really big snowfall at Kew!)

Good luck with the rest of the cards Helen you have done well. I am sure you will get the glitter glue in the next shop lol. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
Lovely cards,Helen. Isn’t it typical to go out for something and come back with everything but? I do it a lot.
Great photos of Kew, you must’ve been frozen. Some of the close ups are really sculptural.
Take care and happy WOYWW

I'd love a big snowfall for you for your trip to Kew - as long as it stayed away from up here.
Well done on the card making - you have certainly been a busy bee.
Been busy spending too I see, hope you get used to the guillotine soon and hope you enjoy playing with all those new inkpads. Can't quite see the stamp but it looks similar to one I have been using, not quite the same but similar.
Won't say "enjoy" your card writing because if you are like me it's a 'task'
Hugs, Neet 12 xx
I laughed out loud that you bought everything except the glue!! How many times have I done that in a shop…sigh…ah well, gotta laugh! I also want to poke glitter glue before it’s dried, it never ends well lol! Your cards are looking fab.
HUgs LLJ 5 xx
Oh I thought it was just me that finished shopping without actually buying what I intended…too easily distracted young lady! Your cards look great anyway, they can carry themselves without glitter if necessary! I must say your guillotine looks like a beast…i far prefer using one, but that guard that you have to look round to see the cutting edge each time would be a gonner…I have mine on a worktop as you know, I would be driven to distraction by that getting in my way if I worked on the floor! I know it wasn’t all that you wanted, but am a bit jealous of that haul of Ink pads, they really are the business those Clair aren’t they.
Your cards are looking fabulous and yes I find it hard to resist prodding the glue too - I wonder why it's so tempting! I had to laugh at you forgetting to buy the glitter glue but getting that lovely lot of stash - glad it's not just me!
Hope you have a great week,
Diana xx #15
I think we all have gone shopping for one thing and bought lots but forgotten what we actually went for lol.

You're not the only one that plans to order something and then gets distracted I can assure you! Loving the Christmas cards and hope to get mine finished today too. Interesting trimmer/guillotine. I do prefer a guillotine rather than a trimmer but this looks very useful. Have a lovely woyww. Hugs, Angela xXx
Tell me about waiting for stuff to dry! I always hit it with the heat gun - not sure that would work with the glitter glue though. Funny how you bought everything else but not what you set out to buy LOL - a bit like when I go upstairs to get something and come back with something else. Oh well. Snow would be so lovely at Kew's but you have to get there somehow and they might stop traffic if there's too much snow. Is it close enough to walk? Happy December! xx zsuzsa #18
HI Helen, I am totally cracking up that you forgot to get the glue because you were distracted by the inks and stamps :) Love that btw. and your cards too! ~Stacy #23
Hi Helen, I am glad I am not the only one who sets out to buy something, buys something else instead! Lovely Christmas cards. I am always tempted to taste things to see if they are dry. Angela #13
Ha ha - I'm glad it's not just me that goes online for something and comes away with something completely different and forgetting what I went on there for in the first place! Happy crafting! xx Jo
Super cards and with Julia nearly finished when I'm stuck at the starting blocks! I'm sure you'll love your guillotine. Can you believe I am still using the paper trimmer I bought yonks ago, although I do change the blade regularly. It was recommended by Dawn Bibby along with the cutting mat, probably back in 2005 when I was a QVC addict! LOL. BJ#7 PS don't forget the glitter glue!!!
Great batch of cards! I'm beginning to wonder if I have enough...
Nice trimmer.
Had a giggle at your forgetting to order what you originally went to order, been there, done that.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

I went online to Craftstash to buy the latest Die Cutting Essential mag...only to buy two half price collection boxes and forgot the Mag, which has now sold out! (sniff) Love the cards...go on. poke the glue...I can not resist doing that! Like the trimmer, nearly bought a large guillotine from the Crafty Charity shop I go to... but it was well used and at £25, I decided to 'think about it' Its gone now...but I probably saved my fingers from being cut off while I carried it back to the car.
Happy WOYWW!? Stay Safe! ((Lyn)) #25
Hi Helen, I think glitter glue must be the marmite of cardmakers/scrappers - you love it or hate it! It's the time it takes to dry that's the problem for me. Congrats for the new guillotine. I fell out with trimmers years ago and now have two guillotines - one large enough to cut 12x12 paper and one smaller for trimming photos, etc. Your cards are lovely. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #21
Hi Helen, that is exactly my missions sometime this week, hopefully I won't be sidetracked by goodies! I do need those inkpads though...LOL! Sorry for the late visit this week, Lindart #24.
Happy Very Belated WOYWW !! Gorgeous cards. I had grand plans for making some more elaborate cards this Christmas, but in the end only made a few in craft workshops. I bought a lovely kit from Crafters Companion, which included the materials and tools to make foam flowers, but that is all still in its packaging and waiting for me to play with it. Oh well, there is next year. Hope that Kew hasn't had any real damage in the recent storms. It is still blowing a very strong gale here in Pembrokeshire. No snow thankfully. Ali x #8
