Another Wednesday another month - hello October! the year - never mind the weeks - are whizzing by so fast. We head to Julia's Stamping-Ground for another week of WOYWW desk sharing fun..
As I am writing this (watching Great British Bake Off) I've just seen a Christmas advert on telly.... no way!!
abandoned Christmas cards this week for a "batty" play in my journal...I'd already sprayed the background - or it might be paint I honestly can't remember (think it must be paint, actually) some time ago
the church window stamp set (Dina Wakley) was the front of the pile ad the circle came from a Dina Wakley supporter video idea...I painted it to look like a moon behind the window
I remembered i had some bat die cuts and hurrah, could even find them!!
this is the play from the supporter video - a sort of warm up play session - pieces to be used as is or as collage fodder as Dina calls them as you choose

needless to say they stopped as a warm up exercise and haven't developed into anything.
I had a lucky escape at Kew on Saturday as the forecast heavy rain didn't start till after I'd got home and it only rained intermittently.
Photos here including the new Japan season

No Way! Not the dreaded C word on tv already? That seems crazy to me. Your collage fodder looks like it could turn into something but what? Hope you’ll share when it does. Lucky escape on the rai at at Kew. It bucketed it down here! Phew.
Happy Woyww

Glad you avoided the heavy rain on Saturday Helen. The new Japan garden looks great from the photos I've seen. Love the bat page and I am sure the latest play will turn into something eventually. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
Yes, the supermarket up here was full of Christmas food - already! Eek!
Really enjoyed your journal page, nice to see one finished.
It rained non stop, heavy stuff which is why we did not get a sunset - well I am presuming we didn't, I didn't venture outside. Today is lovely (touch wood).

Loving your journal page my favourite subject and the arm up pieces are going to be so much fun to use. Pleased you didn't get wet too. Have a lovely week and a woyww full of smiles. Hugs Angela x16x
I am envious of the Japanese festival at Kew, bet it was fantastic! Good timin with dodging the rain, it’s been like here this week - I’m in T-shirt and shorts in the house (no heating) and 3-4 layers on when I go out! Love the batty bats - ooh that brings back memories of Captain Beaky and his Band, lol!

Love the batty page and, like you I have been thinking about Christmas cards....but only thinking lol.

So many stunning Kew pics Helen - you could make a fortune with photo cards/coasters/calendars etc!! The batty page is fun but not the thought of Christmas just yet. xx Jo
Beautiful photos, love the fodder aqua collage I follow that, but haven't had time to play. Have a great week
I absolutely love your collage fodder, Helen! Just gorgeous.
Happy WOYWW,

Thanks for your visit, Helen, and I'm glad you like my birthday banners. It's great to be feeling better!

I think your warm up pieces look like little trees especially with the drips that look like trunks to me, you could make them into little tree cards. Happy WOYWW! Elle #21, EOTC
Love you journal page. Glad you didn’t get wet at Kew, there has been a lot of rain about! Happy WOYWW Angela #8

I noticed Christmas puddings in the supermarket yesterday...
Love your batty page!

Happy Belated WOYWW. Yes, Christmas is everywhere in our local town. The M&S Foodhall seemed to have been taken over (even Halloween was pushed to one side), and I must admit I bought a box of mince pies (as me and hubby love them)! I love those 'warm up' pieces. I see trees and they would make gorgeous notecards or notebook fronts. Ali x #4
Love your Halloween page. Thanks for my tour of Kew this week, especially the Japanese show.
Have a good week

I suppose we have to admit to C being on the horizon or nearer now!
Christine who hasn't linked . . . . she has a desk but can't find it right now.
Hi Helen! My hubby and I love The Great British Baking Show! We watch it together every week. It a lot of fun, and so funny to hear hubby making comments on baking - I don't think he's ever baked a thing! Now we are looking forward to The Great Canadian Baking Show, starting after TGBBS ends. Lots of play this week I see, good for you! I love the Halloween page! Thanks for your visit, have a great week, Lindart #23
I had to smile as I totally get that "I even found them" part of the equation Helen. :) the bats in the moonlight scene is really cool ~Stacy #22
