Happy Wednesday, deskers! It's WOYWW (and September!) After Julia mentioned a couple of weeks ago that she was sorting through her card stocks that she would no longer use, I commented to her that I could have found some of them a home and before I knew it she was offering to send me some... Now, you may think after last week's post I couldn't possibly need any more card blanks, but hey!!
as you can see they arrived
I went shopping on Monday (it was a bank holiday here in the UK so I had an extra day off), I couldn't find what I went for, but ended up with another pack of the makeup sponges I've been using for distress inks lately, and some Posca paint pens.
I even got a couple of journal pages made at the weekend
Sunday was the 24th anniversary of my sister's death and I was thinking about her a lot, and in the end made a journal page to document it
just behind the faces is a white on white collage tissue face from one of Dina's packs, representing Maggie...in the background, never forgotten.
it's all her fault I am surrounded by all this crafting stash, you know, she came across a lady selling rubber stamps at a school fair when my oldest nephew was small, and the rest, as they say, is history.....
then slightly happier, is a page I just splodged together on Monday, using a piece from one of the Facebook classes I took with Dina Wakley (the power of marks I think it was called) that I tore up and glued over a painty background.
Last week's Kew pics are here.... I am fed up saying I hope next weekend is slightly warmer/sunnier/drier so I won't bother this week as it never happens!
Happy WOYWW and see you soon
