WOYWW 620

Welcome desky peeps - it's Wednesday which must mean it's WOYWW  - see here for all the details.  We've been doing this for nearly 12 years and Julia is planning the way we will celebrate.

Now that I am back visiting Kew Gardens on a Saturday morning, I have less weekend time for crafting, but I did ad some bits to a journal page

I finally decided which of the splattered backgrounds from a couple of weeks ago, to add the bird to!

then it was time to try out the "pensive face" stencil
which probably would have worked better if I'd painted the page first and added the stencil on top, but that can be done next time

I have more to add to this, it needs words of some kind.

I think also  I haven't photographed the next stage - I added some stamping over the top

Paperartsy are having some more releases this week... so I may have been shopping!!

Now for the Kew link -  I only had a couple of hours (I found an earlier slot than I had started with, so managed to get in a visit before coming home to watch Prince Philip's funeral

for the first time since I've been able to get back, it was gloriously sunny!

Thanks for looking - see you soon

Glad you managed to fit in Kew and the funeral on Saturday Helen. I like that pensive face stencil. The bird looks great on the page you chose as well. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #?

Love the pages , especially the face in bright colours! Mostly I see it in black, which is fine, I love that, but the jolt of colour is fab. Nice to see Kew, vicariously, and have a great day desk hopping.

Morning, so it's back to Kew which is a signal all is getting back to normal. Love that bird, in fact I have bird envy as I saw the stamp and wanted but resisted in favour of some stencils from A&C.
Hugs, Neert xx

Gorgeous Kew pics, I think the tulips have done exceptionally well this year, maybe cos the colder weather has meant they’ve lasted longer? Mine are still gorgeous in the tubs though I have had to water them! Great crafting, the bird is lovely!

Super pages - the dark background really sets off the colourful bird image. The tulips look lovely - I really must get some for the garden next year! They're such friendly flowers and remind me of the Dutch people I used to know! Happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #15

Kew is definitely coming to life now, beautiful photographs. Loving the bird but the face now that's something else and look foward to seeing what sentiment you choose for it. Happy creative woyww, Angela x12x

So pleased they’ve let you back into your garden, fab photos. Bet it was a chilly start though, blimey. You seem to have set MA off with this pensive face, amazing to see what you’re both doing with an image that I would have overlooked completely!

I love your pages this week, Helen - a rather different look this time. Doesn't Kew look magnificent with the spring flowers in the sunshine? What a display of tulips. Thank you for your comments - yes, Prince Philip's service was very moving and fitting - he had said he didn't want a fuss and I think they got exactly the right balance with family intimacy and military ceremonial. I was very moved by the display of his regalia at the end as well. I'm glad you enjoyed my sunshine pictures this time - so nice to get out and about again. The blanket is progressing nicely and all being well, I should be able to complete it by his birthday in mid-May.

Happy WOYWW,
