WOYWW 532

So here we are again... Wednesday.. Whizzday.   WOYWW ... join in the fun at Julia's The Stamping Ground - time to share our crafty spaces and what we're up to.

You all had some good suggestions for last week's nearly finished journal page but I haven't taken up any of them (yet)!

I have however done a new one...
the base background was already there, with the "waste" sprays on a stencil ; where you just lay the inky side onto the journal..(no picture)

I then added some stamping (a script stamp by a Stamp in the Hand which I know Julia loves as we've both talked about it many many moons ago) and which hasn't been used for almost as long!
I stamped in two directions, using yellow ink and purple ink
then added some circles (paperartsy)  and stamped some Dina Wakley figures on a piece of tissue,

I actually stamped twice, first in Dusty Concord distress oxide ink but it wasn't quite the right colour for the focal point so I inked again in Thistle archival ink and stamped (very carefully) on top... then fussy cut the tissue.
and added the text, which are both from the same Dina set

I've run the thistle ink pad round the edge of the pages, but the light is poor tonight so it hasn't shown up.

I may yet add some more texture to this but for now it's done

I'm (impatiently) waiting for some new stamps-  Paperartsy sprung some new releases on us (me) starting Sunday with JoFY and her fabulous funky flowers... so there are 3 sets and 2 stencils being processed by Country View Crafts as we speak (I was online ordering before I'd finished reading the blog post announcing them......)  so they should be hear for next week...
By then I may have succumbed to some more orders...  we'll see!

This weekend coming is meant to be wet so may have to take the brolly with me to Kew - but here's the link to last week's visit in the (windy) sunshine!

Thanks for sharing the "how it is done" on your journal page this week. Strong colour against that muted background adds up to a successful page.
Sorry the weather is not going to be good for Kew at weekend but knowing you it won't put you off. What do you do with all the photos you take? Do you save or delete them from your camera, print them or just showcase the in Photos by H? Enquiring minds want to know (or should that be nosey me wonders?)
Hugs, Neet xx

Morning Helen. I reckon your page today was specially made for me... I'm certainly not being tamed at the moment - am enjoying every minute of my "gap year", as one of the young folk at church called it!!
Lovely pics of Kew - you have a great eye when it comes to photography - see the unusual, the patterns.
Take care. God bless.

Helen that's a magnificent double journal page, I bet it looks so much more vibrant and rich up close. Always found those DW stamps striking images. I'm not even going to see what the buzz is about the new PA stamps, i'm on a personal ban on purchasing. It's so hard!!!!

Hi Helen, I like the combination of colours in your journal page and the DW silhouettes catch the eye. Look forward to seeing the eagerly anticipated stamps and stencils - I'm going through a stencil phase at the moment so they may prove to be too much of a temptation just when I've told myself I need to go on a spending freeze :) Have a great week. Hi Helen, love your journal pages. The Dina Wakley figures look perfect on them. I've promised myself not to buy anything else crafty unless I have a specific project for it - but I could be tempted with those lol. I need to invest in a brolly - it's been raining here non stop since we got back from holiday! Have a lovely week, hugs Heather xx #25

Hi Helen, Am very sorry very late but at least I’m here, yes! 😁
Am loving your pages too, and reading all build ups, always good to get tips and ideas although I never journal or scrap but cards use such things .. often do kinda smaller my version masterboards.
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too.
Hugs, Shaz in Oz.x

I just love these colours. Makes me want to get painty again - I have done hardly any since finishing for the summer. Time to jump back in I think. Gorgeous pages.

Thank you for your lovely comments over at mine.

Gorgeous page, Helen - I just love that background! Fabulous. I'm so sorry to be so late replying to your comment last week - time seems to have run away with me this week. It must be all those veggies... Anyway, thank you for it, and yes, I did feel like spitting at that woman at the hospital! Sometimes you've got to be stroppy in order to get things done properly.

Happy extreeeeemely belated WOYWW!
