WOYWW 531

well this is going to be a short post .... another week has flown by and it's time for desk sharing day... with Julia and the gang for WOYWW..

I nearly didn't have anything to share at all today but I was sitting looking at the journal page from last week, and the paper dolls that I'd pulled out of the pack thinking I could use them...
there are a few challenges around right now with "eyes" as the theme and I had a rummage through a box of Paperartsy stamps.

I still think this needs something else so I'm going to ponder it a bit longer!

time for the Kew link.... lots of Chinese Water Dragons last week - full post is here  but here are some quick pics to tempt you. (there were flowers as well of course!)

this is one of the baby ones...

they are fascinating creatures and make my day when I see one - let alone 4 like last weekend!

this article tells you a bit more about them

Your journal page is lovely - double spread! Love those eyes - must get my pain diary done for this month with 'eyes' as its theme.
Love the dragons - saw the one feeding on Facebook so now need to go off to (your) Kew to see the rest - plus flowers of course.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Your journal pages are lovely colours Helen. I immediately thought of adding some words to it. I look forward to seeing how you finish it off

The characters balance out the eyes nicely Helen on that journal page. A sentiment or quote chip of some kind would probably finish it off. Great photos from Kew. They certainly are amazing creatures. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #10

The water dragons are a link back to the dinosaurs aren't they? Amazing creatures, I can see why you're fascinated by them. I often find if I'm stuck for inspiration on a project that forgetting about it for a while seems to kick start the process!

I like it as it is Helen but I do not think it will detract from those amazing eyes if you choose to add something extra. It's what makes journaling fun adding a little bit more when we get chance. The Chinese Dragon looks very happy it's feeding time. Happy WoywW Tracey #8

Hi Helen, journal page is looking great. Loving the water dragons, they really are stunning creatures. Slowly improving here, going to take a week or two to get back to normal though, I think. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

That's a great page spread - those eyes are really fantastic (I may have to go PaperArtsy shopping, but maybe I should double-check the stash first!), and the whole thing is really atmospheric already. Will wait to see if you add to it! The Chinese Water Dragons look extraordinary.

Hi Helen, your page is looking great, even if you are still pondering over it. I wonder if looking at it in a photograph helps you to decide. I often photograph a layout to help me decide if something more is needed. Love the photos from Kew. I know it maybe sounds daft but I think the water dragon has personality. Hugs, Elizabeth x #21

Your journal pages are cool but I agree with you, something is needed but I have no idea. Love the Water Dragons. Reminds me of iguanas.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Hi Helen. Thanks for popping by. I am very late. Unexpected visitors and phone calls. I like the page and those Water Dragons are wonderful. Hope you manage to squeeze in some crafting. Anne X ( 16? 17? )

Beautiful subtle journal page, Helen, and what an adorable little creature at Kew! Thank you for your visit and your kind remarks about my industry in the kitchen! I'm so glad you enjoyed seeing my Painted Lady picture It's very nice to know there's been a bit of a population explosion with them because butterflies have got so scarce in recent years. We have 2 buddleia bushes and they really encourage the butterflies, but they sometimes fight a losing battle against the kitties who adore chasing them!

Sorry I’m late! I know you’ll think I’m nuts, but I think the paper dolls are a bit creepy. My friend Nancy had a pack and we went through them and decided none of them were happy people at all! Good luck with the journal spread...looks ok to me, but then I’m impatient to finish anything these days!

Ahhhhhh, big smiles, you’ve a pop up comment box, thank you! 😁😁😁❤️🤗👌
Water dragons, we have them, google eastern water dragons NSW and you’ll find them, our are not as pretty as yours but they’re oh so cute when tiny, they’re still around our yard , they used to live in our courtyard till my brother moved them for me, they were climbing into our garage and leaving giant whoopsies everywhere ugh! We have less vegetation in courtyard area, now, mind you the succulent is taking over and all needs a spring clean!
Thanks fir sharing I’m very late but better than never, nice crafty share too, Shaz.xx
