WOYWW 498 it's the final countdown...

things seem to be getting pretty organised, dare I say it...
my floor desk is ready for gift wrapping duties...

the hamper was donated to me (we received a thank you gift from a client and along with some of the contents, they all knew I'd be able to use the container!!  They don't even ask now!)

however not sure my knees will let me get down there this evening.  it was pouring with rain on the way home tonight (always prep this post on a Tuesday night) and I took a tumble in the rain on a bumpy pavement because my blasted umbrella kept blowing inside out and I was wrestling with that and two bags (including the hamper) and fell flat.... ouch!  so it may get put off till tomorrow night after the hairdressers!   (not badly hurt, bit bruised but felt a right wally!)

I was watching the Liverpool v Man Utd game on Sunday and when we got our two goal cushion I relaxed and started to play in a journal... been so long!

I also got out some Christmas decorations on Sunday, there is no room for a Christmas tree, (you've seen why, every Wednesday!)

but the living room and hall window sills get decorated..

this is the day time shot (ignore the dirty window)

 looks much nicer at night!

and the hall..  seem not to have got a night shot!

so that's me.... Christmassed, and journalled!!

will be round to see your desks later - as many as I can before work, then what I can after the hairdresser after work.  I'll be there eventually!

Oh, I forgot... my stats show a huge surge in visitor numbers recently on the WOYWW posts... not sure if it's only me or any of you have noticed... coming from some very dodgy websites!  No idea how or even if I can block them, there doesn't seem to be a way.... Anyone else had that?  It is only on WOYWW posts....  talking of which, here's the link to join in....

It has just occurred to me that I should wish you all  a very Happy Christmas as this is our last gathering before the big day!  So thank you for your visits over the year, and eat, drink and be merry!

No idea on visitors to my blog so can't help there Helen.
Sorry about the tumble, I think it is a pride thing as much as hurting physically that bothers us. Hope thee was not lasting damage and you can soon get back down on the crafting area.
love the basket, but then I too am a sucker for any type of container.
Hugs & Happy Christmas
Neet 3 (would have been 2 but for your blunder!!) (we seem to be crossing one another recently - Strictly and NOW Liverpool!!) LOL

Merry Christmas Helen and hope the bruising subsides quickly. I'm rooting for Liverpool in the Prem this season as Stoke are no longer there. Haven't noticed a surge on WOYWW days and not sure how to block other than individually on google+. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

Oh no Helen sorry to hear about that tumble, hope your healing well and the bruising doesn't stop you from getting down to some journalling.
You'll make good use of that traditional hamper, way to nice to discard.
I've noticed the up on views regarding WOYWW I get the same thing happen when I occasionally post on instagram. I always google the website, NEVER click the links it usually comes up with a dodgy site. It's happened this morning in fact. May have to put comment mod on over Christmas.
Wishing you a very Merry one Helen & Happy WOYWW Tracey #6 xx

Boo to taking a tumble, it is so unsettling, I'm glad you're ok. Love your festive window sills, they look very pretty! I've noticed that about my stats too and talked to G about it...he says they're probably just search spiders from other sites and the dodgy ones aren't actually visiting your blog. No one else can see them and it's pretty hard to block them, so I don't worry about it now.
Happy Christmas and thank you for your card too!!
Hugs LLJ 11 xx

Ouch, no fun and yes it is embarrassing indeed!!
Agree re surge on last WOYWW post, quite a lot over 400 much more, usually under or around 100.. Also get spam that sneaks in and occasionally put back on all moderation but don’t like doing that. I noticed also dodgy site links but don’t think there’s anything that can be done.
It’s life. Yes I’ve my share of decs up too, like it very much. Happy WOYWW and happy Christmas .. every blessing

Loving your Christmas arrangement, gorgeous photos too. Pleased to hear you survived the fall, the weather's been awful at times. I've been so busy I've not looked at my Stats recently but will try and find time to see if I can work out what's going on. Hope it's a happy woyww for you, Angela x17x

Sorry to hear you had a fall, Helen, but glad you weren't seriously hurt. I hope the bruising subsides sufficiently for you to be able to get down on your floor again soon! I could never work on the floor... I often wonder how you do it! Very pretty decorations - I think they always look better at night.

Happy WOYWW,

Sure hope you're feeling better and the bruises go away quickly! Your decorations are beautiful! As to the high number of visitors, ever since I changed my blog to business Google has bots that hits my blog every 3 - 6 hours and 30+ times each time. My monthly stats are 7,000 - 8,000 each month, Sure messes up the stats!!
Thanks for popping by and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

So glad you’re OK, Helen. Thank you for your return visit - so glad you like my messing around with the clementine! I often spot interesting shapes and designs when I’m cooking - fruit and veg is so beautiful! I had some good news this afternoon from the pants people, that the prescription had come straight away and they were going to treat this order as ultra urgent after all the delays, so I should get them soon, but doubtful if it will be before Christmas which puts a stop to absolutely everything for over a week!!

Hi Helen, yes, I did see that and because the work desk shot I had last week had my son's bootcamp photo next to the whoo-ville tree shot I posted I assumed that that was why mine was up and I switched out the photo for a worse angel that does not show him and the crazy visitor numbers for that post came to a stop..
(highest number I have seen in months)

OOoh I love the night shots of your scenes you have decorated, they all look like they should smell fantastic too. Merry Christmas! ~Stacy #28

Ooh, ouch, poor you... I do hope the bruises settle down and the knees cooperate soon - it would be horrid not to able to craft over Christmas! Your decorations are looking lovely - especially all lit up - and the fruity bowl is great. So delighted to see you've managed to start some play-journalling after all the C-card making, and I hope your knees will let you return to it soon. Have a great Christmas.
