WOYWW 484

I have poured over the photos from last weekend's crop - complete with surprise overseas guest!!  and am even more gutted to have not been able to go.  Jan posted about it here and there were various other reviews too.    But, it's time for another desk share.... not that there is anything really going on here...

in my most recent spending splurge, there is another order on the way!
I haven't cracked on with anything much - but this the first couple of days layers on another of the France Papillon challenge... I forget which week and forget what the theme is!
so I can't leave you with just that.. I thought I would share the storage for my Paperartsy stamp collection.... although a couple of the boxes do have a few stamps from a couple of other companies (Carabelle mainly) these 4 boxes are all Paperartsy.. and as you can see there are extras on top that haven't yet been filed away!

I think you can safely say I am a Paperartsy fan!

but you knew that.

There was a visit to Kew on Saturday of course, when the crop was in full swing... pics (lots of pics!) here

I am um-ing and ah-ing about going to Ally Pally craft show on Saturday (after a trip to Kew, obviously) - haven't quite decided yet.  If so, there may be extra new stuff to share next week!!  Til then, happy desking with Julia for WOYWW...

I can't believe all the stamps you have and of course, I'm always in awe of your stencil collection. I a also saw Jan's post, and hope others post their photos, too.

I hope you will link me again this week. If you go to my blog, you will see why I can't link.

If this keeps up, I may not be able to play much longer. I will watch for Kew photos on Sat. and also see if you go to Ally Pally.

Hi Helen, I have only 1 or 2 Paperartsy stamps so I am rather in awe of your collection. It's similar to my collection of Claritystamps though lol. Have a great week and enjoy Ally Pally if you go. Sarah #5

I like your stack of boxes! We were sorry that you couldn't be at the Crop either, I had the masking tape ready for the floor space just for you, lol!! Enjoy your weekend, be it at Kew or AP :-)

Good grief, when you see them all stored in the one place.......I hope you’re using more than the top 10% missus....we had a pact here that if it turned out to be like that, I would hoof stuff out. I haven’t, but it did. He doesn’t know!! I’m not doing AP, although for once, I did actually consider it!

I don't think it is a "maybe" about new stash next week if you go to Ally Pally. Oh Helen you make me smile, We all know you are a PaperArtsy fan and I am surprised you only have four boxes, am sure you must have nearly their whole collection. Mind you I used to be as bad but I don't buy many stamps at all these days. Not that I don't want to you know.
Carry on with the journal of whatever it is and maybe next week you can tell us all about it.
Take care my lovely friend, so sorry you missed Llandudno but perhaps you will get up north some time again quite soon.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx

I love the backgrounds for your FP challenge - they are so full of texture and interest - I'm very keen to see what you do next with them.
I love Paper Artsy stamps but don't have very many - you really are a fan aren't you! I also love the underground map box, how cool is that!
Have a great week and enjoy Ally Pally if you decide to go.

Hi Helen, love the stash storage. We really enjoyed Ally Pally when we went earlier in the year. Was a very good show, we'll be missing this one though, so I hope you enjoy it if you go. Thats a very interesting journal page, love all the script. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #8 X

Happy WOYWW. It made me chuckle that I am selling off most of my stash, whilst you are still continuing to 'collect'. Have you used everything at least once? As I sort through my stash, I am finding so many things that are still in their packaging. I am quite ashamed to be truthful, and definitely not going down that spending road again. Ali x #21

Hi Helen, Sorry you weren't able to make the Crop on Saturday, hopefully one day we will meet up at a crop, or a craft show! I am in awe of your stamps - you must have been building that collection for quite a while! I am going to tackle my stamp storage now that my die storage is finished, and I know all of my stamps would probably fit in one of your boxes, with plenty of room to spare. I do like the PaperArtsy stamps you show us - but so far have not bought any. I am trying to be good (and failing), and same as Ali - I have stuff in packaging that has not yet been used, and I've not been crafting as long as most of you! Enjoy Ally Pally if you go ... and if you do get up north and meet up with Neet, I'll try and get there too - if I can! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #11

Hi Helen, I have started doing that with unmounted (non wood) stamps sorting them by MFG too, ( I have bins on a shelf but, same thing I find it easier sometimes to find things that work together scale wise that way) :) yep, I had caved twice now on Simon Says Stamptember "exclusives" and someday they will actually ship this stuff. ( probably next month ) and that's OK it's not like I need it, just had those squirrel Ooh shinny moments of weakness. ~Stacy #24

Missed you on Saturday but with so much going on, I didn't feel too lonely for long!
Love all those boxes of stamps, I am so late coming to stamping I don't think I will ever catch up.
Look forward to seeing your finished journal page.

Looks a bit like my PA collection! Lol! I think you have a few more than me though!

Miriam said...

That's a fine amount of PA stamps Helen :)

Gosh, that's an awful lot of stamps, I'm sure there is some kind of organisation inside those boxes, otherwise you will spend all your time looking for something and have none left to stamp.
Thanks for visiting my desk, and comments about the Crop, maybe you will manage to join us next year.

Hi Helen. I am REALLY late getting around this week - been so busy hosting Shaz in Oz - but she is now safely tucked up with a friend in America, so I can begin to think... Lots of stamps there, Helen - enjoy them!!!
Take care. God bless.
Margaret #20?? Can't remember - must be getting old!

I'm considering craft storage at the moment - toying between having everything out and visible and easy of access, or tucked neatly away in boxes. Still trying to decide... but it must be annoying to have to get all the boxes down when you want something in the bottom box, right? And do you just know which stamps are in which box or are they labelled? And sorted? By designer? Or by release date? Just wondering...!!
