WOYWW 476

Well, what a surprise, it's Wednesday again and time for another desk share post for WOYWW.. and still no post since last week's!

There isn't a lot going on either (done some shopping, orders in transit ... well one is, one is pre-order) but I did manage to finish the neon journal page

(must put away my birthday cards soon... the pile on top of the ink pads to left of craft mat)
close up

the words are some under-used Remnant RubOns of Tim Holtz...

I am 3 weeks behind on this challenge, so much for A Layer A Day/A Spread A Week...so I am trying to work on all 3 of the next spreads at once!

still, the World Cup is over, Wimbledon is over.... heatwave seems to be abating even if temporarily, so maybe things will get going again...

and I'll soon have more new toys to play with, that must be worth catching up for/with!

No trip to Kew this coming weekend, I am going to York on Friday for a few days, for a get together with some friends.. so different places to photograph!   I love York, so am looking forward to that.
Last week's Kew post is here though!

Ooh I love York too. Have a great time, wonder who the friends could be? Hope one has a name beginning with S or maybe it is F? Enjoy, and do go see the ducks down by the water (think it is Kings Staithe).
Love the layout, great colours provide the perfect backdrop for those trees.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx

I had intended to stop by sooner, but I was notifying everyone of their ATC partner for our 5th T Tuesday anniversary. That's a really bright spread in that journal.

Glad your heat wave is subsiding. We are still caught in the high heat high humidity cycle, but at least the temps are now in the 90s F (mid 30s C) and not in the 100s F (high 30s C).

I can't wait to see York through your lens. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen photos of York. Thanks for stopping by and it's obvious I'm not playing today.

Hi Helen, I have the new Oxides on pre order too (if I'm guessing correctly). I wouldn't stress about catching up with the journaling; I'm a couple of pages behind on my weekly journal too, I'm sure I'll catch up eventually. Have fun in York. Sarah #16

The World Cup may be over but my fave sport event of the year is still only half-way... Tour de France! i spend most of the afternoons in front of the tv now and don't get much journaling done, your page looks marvelous!!! Thanks for your comment on my blog just now... yes, the handyman IS handy but that's what he does and he gets payed for it too, so I wouldn't expect less. York is one of my favourite places - we used to live in Selby - about 10 miles away so it was where we went shopping or just for a day out. Max and I used to like lunch in "Bettys". Have a great trip. xx Jo

A beautiful page, Helen, with gorgeous colours. Very summery! It's been awfully hot again here and I hope it will cool off a bit. Thank you for your visit - I'll get the daubers right in the end, once I get the right cosmetic sponges made of denser foam. Also the sourdough - I'm on the way with that now! Today I've been cooking Middle Eastern again - freezer fodder this time! The meal I cooked for my friend went down very welll and she reciprocated with a meal for us last night, also Middle Eastern and stunningly delicious and beautiful to look at too!

Happy belated WOYWW,
