WOYWW 475 semi final time!

Here we are again... writing this watching football.. and Wednesday sees England facing Croatia in the World Cup semi final... eek..    first though, it's WOYWW  with Julia and chums..
I won't be visiting between the hours of 7pm (UK time)  and ... the end!  I'll be watching through my fingers...

some crafty goodies came to stay this week....

you can see last week's journal page still exactly where it was, still untouched from then...

maybe after the weekend when the football and the tennis is finished I'll get back to creating!

Neet wanted to see a close up of the gin box too
(the box the bottle came in, for someone who queried what a gin box was last week)  so just for you...

and the inside is as pretty as the out...

In case you missed it, last's week's Kew visit (a short one - in length of visit not number of photos) is here and Sunday's visit to Hampton Court flower show is here (even longer in terms of photos)

so for now... COME ON ENGLAND!!

see you soon.

I don't know if it's blogger or my internet, but I'm having a hard time getting blogs to load. Any chance for Wimbledon final day center stage tickets courtesy of Monica again this year?

Happy WOYWW from #4.

My desk also hasn’t been that active this week,Helen (but not totally inactive) but it’s nothing to do with football! I am very, very fortunate in having a hubby who isn’t interested in it either lol! The only benefit I can see is that everywhere is decorated with gorgeous bright a cheerful and patriotic bunting! I love to see that. Your gin box looks lovely and I’m sure you’ve got plans for that. Thank you for your visit - yes, Tyntesfield has to be one of my favourite NT properties now. It is absolutely mind boggling. I’ll post about it asap but soooo many photos to sort and edit first! Cooking this a.m. as soon as I’ve dealt with my Tesco delivery!

Thanks for the view of the box, yes, gorgeous. Love the inside, you need to find some way of displaying it now so people can see both inside and out. Thanks Helen!
Yes, football tonight will be nail biting. I don't think they will get through but it would be wonderful for the game if they could. I doubt I will watch but I will be doing something with an ear on the game. Maybe I will watch but in a different room to Chas as he drives me crazy with his shouting and kicking and heading the ball himself. Why he is not the England Manager I will never know (he is full of what they should and shouldn't be doing).
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

SOme nice new goodies there Helen, that stamp set in particualr looks like it would find a good home here.

Can we do it I wonder, I am really hoping so but Croatia are pretty physical so it's going to be a toughie. I read somewhere that today has been branded 'National Waistcoat Day', Gareth certainly is coming over as a very level headed and tactical manager, probably the best we've had for some time.

You had more gumption than me to go around Hampton Court in that heat - I'd have been a puddle on the floor! The gin box is beautifully designed, I'd want to repurpose it too, hope the gin was as delicious :-D

I'll be watching too Helen, although it may be from behind the sofa! I was so tired at the weekend that I fell asleep listening to the match and we were already 2-0 up when I woke. At least I saw the rest of the match. Have a great week. Sarah #14

What a gorgeous box....I can see why it had your name on it. Hope you enjoy your evening....I will be watching too and hoping they win of course even if I don’t enjoy it as much as you or that much older sister of mine.

Love the box - is that a passion flower? It's certainly beautiful, and I love the marbling inside too. Enjoy the football tonight, I'm not following it but pretty much everyone around me is!

Hi Helen, love that script stamp, it's beautiful. I have something similar I ordered from Fiona at one of the crops, although it's French script, but so beautiful. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX

Happy WOYWW. I love to look at other people's goodies, as I am being really strict with myself and hardly buying anything until my credit card debt is cleared (and I am already in the new habit of realising that my life will not end if I do not buy what is on the tv or in the shops!). Got more than enough to keep me busy in my craft room and digitally anyway. Neither me or hubby watch football, so hoping to get out on my bike whilst the roads are quieter. Ali x

Hi Helen, I like the new stamps. My journal is at a standstill at the moment too, I have to be in the mood and then suddenly I have an idea, I can never just go for it.
Fingers crossed for England, hope it doesn't get to penalties as I can't bear to watch them.
Happy WOYWW

Heart in mouth, Helen, watching Federer in the quarter final - it's all too stressful. Like the look of your new goodies - you'll have fun with those. I've promised myself a look at your Keep and Hampton Court posts later. Have a great week and enjoy the game tonight. Elizabeth x #29

Loving the Hampton Court post, although can almost feel the heat! I’d almost forgotten about the Tennis, such is the football fever all over the media! Am writing this while watching, can’t bear to actually watch!! No doubt your creativity will re surface as soon as the pressure is off!

OHMY Helen... are you recovered a bit from yesterday's match? What a match it was! Exciting, thrilling... and your goalkeeper was the best! So sorry England lost the game... Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday, love from Holland (to comfort and cheer you up: Holland wasn't even in the tournament!) Marit #19

So sorry about England losing, I only watch highlights so I can't really comment on the game as a whole, but it seemed to be a very exciting game! Nice new toys! Enjoy! Thanks for your visit, have a great week! Lindart #33

Good morning, Helen. Thanks for the visit. I hope you watched through your fingers long enough to see England fought the fight well. I have to think Christmas cards as I need approx. 175 of them. Plus 100 tags for treat boxes. No way I'm waiting til November to try and do them. Think COOL! Creative Blessings! Kelly #31

Hi Helen, well I'm late visiting, so sadly I already know that England didn't win - though I haven't watched a second of it myself - but it was good to see everyone enjoying seeing them get so far :o) Annie C #16
