WOYWW 447 - and it was over!

Happy two days after Christmas deskers!  Blink and you missed it - Christmas, that is...
time to re-group for WOYWW with Julia and the gang - link and info (should you need it) is here

So I hope you all had a very Happy Christmas- that your day was filled with fun, family and food... not necessarily in that order!

It was quiet here, but I had a good time, in sole control of the remote and plenty of Christmas dinner!  (I cooked my favourite, roast beef, of course and there is plenty left for the rest of the week.

I cleared a (small) space on my craft space (i.e. I picked up the craft mat - hoovered up all the dust and fluff) and created a little bit more leg room....
I had stocked up in Waitrose (UK supermarket for non UK readers) on half price boxed chocolates a few weeks before Christmas... I think I have enough to survive a seige....
I had a small bundle of gifts to open on Christmas Day...
a Gardens calendar, Jamie Oliver cook book, M&S gift voucher (all from my boss) a canvas design to colour, a lino cutting knife and some lino blocks (the round red thing is a finger guard)  and chocolates from my brother and SIL; some bath goodies and a new purse from two of the girls at work, and some licquer chocolates and a pretty tea light from my cousin; and some really pretty Nottingham lace and a little lace scented sachet from my friend Lesley who had a day at the Chatsworth Christmas fayre.

I am hoping to get some crafting in this week before I go back to work, so the space on the floor may be back to normal very soon!
In the meantime I wish you a very happy Rest of Christmas and New Year... hoping that 2018 is happy and healthy and creative for us all!

Happy WOYWW. There is a direct correlation between getting older and the pile of pressies getting smaller! Our tree was looking quite lonely this year, as only me and Rich (his kids/grandkids were at their homes and no other family visiting). I send most pressies out by courier now. I do miss the noise/excitement, but don't miss the very long days of being on my feet mostly in the kitchen! We look forward to being in Spain over the festive period - far more sociable there and a lot of time is spent on the beach. Ali x #9

Hi Helen, I hadn't thought of that but you are right I now have an exploding Desk Lol! Hee! Hee! I hope you've had a lovely Christmas. It's just started snowing here but I believe it's nothing in comparison to what has been happening elsewhere. I think having control of the remote should be compulsory at Christmas so I will suggest it for next year Lol! Have a great woyww, Angela x12x

Hi Helen. You received some lovely presents - and control of the remote! I hope you get some crafting in before you return to work ... Mr M is back at work today, so I have three days of sole control of the remote or crafting or looking after my grandsons ... whatever takes my fancy! Have a wonderful new year, and best wishes for 2018, Heather #17

Happy festive Wednesday to you. Looks like you were on Santa’s good list and you had lots of lovely things. It’s no sooner Christmas here than it’s the start of birthday celebrations....a 60th and a 100th tomorrow and our eldest will be 34 on the 7th so the celebrations continue. I will be ready for a rest lol.
Hope 2018 is a happy and healthy one for you and we can enjoy many more Wednesdays of fun and friendship.
Hugs,

Such lovely gifts! It sounds like you had a lovely peaceful Christmas. I do the same thing with chocolates; I stashed enough Lindor Truffles to take me though the summer, at least! LOL! I hope you have a very Happy, Healthy and Crafty 2018!

What lovely thoughtful gifts, especially from the boss and your brother. You must keep us informed how the chocolate stash is going throughout the year - wonder when it will run out. With your slim figure guess you need never worry about a mountain of chocolate - just enjoy it.
All the best Helen.
Hugs, Neet xx

What a great haul. I have been enjoying left overs myself. It takes so much time to prepare for Christmas and then it is over in a flash. But it will be back around before know it.

You got some great gifts, there, Helen, and your floor looks really clean and tidy lol! Thank you for your lovely comments and for your understanding - I've had so much to deal with lately and couldn't get to the computer. Thank you for all your kind words especially about my mum. Somehow we'll get through all this, and hope that 2018 is going to be a better year all round.

Happy WOYWW,
