WOYWW 444 - a finished task (sort of)

I can't remember the last time I wrote a post apart from on a Wednesday...hopefully soon!  However, Wednesday it is (or will be soon) and WOYWW again  - time to share workspaces... As ever, our lovely Julia (who has been off drinking gin in Wales if pictures on FB are to be believed!) has the link here at the Stamping-Ground

But I have had some time off work this week to get my Christmas cards finished (tick, if you don't count the writing and addressing!!)  and my Christmas present shopping started (today hopefully, just hope inspiration strikes overnight or it'll be another aimless wander round the shops...)

But, floor time...
the stencil duly arrived last week (still too big for what I had intended, but did get used)
 Sunday I made 11 and Monday/Tuesday another 13....
have laid them out a bit so sneak some designs for you...

but this was Tuesday night's task... stamping the middles because as I said last week, like a twerp I didn't do them as I was going along... only one or two smudges or touch ups required with a pen!

so now the writing... probably leave that for another night, but soon so they can be posted nice and early.

I really do think next year I'll give them a miss and either send bought ones or do what lots of people do and make a charity donation instead!

Wish me luck with the presents!  I'll catch your desks as soon as I can (or when I give up in despair and come home!)

Morning Helen. A great neat pile of finished cards - well done! I gave up in the end, having made loads then used them for other purposes - and made all mine on the computer! Not my style, but there you go. Yours look great fun. All the best with the shopping today - hope inspiration strikes!
Take care. God bless.

Happy WOYWW. Love your cards. Taking time off work to get them made is true crafty commitment. Good luck with your shopping. As usual, I have bought things throughout the year (I have a box in our spare room, which always has a few bits in it - mainly for our granddaughters), and then the rest is mostly bought on-line. Going to have to start wrapping today, which I would enjoy if I didn't feel so pressured to get everything else done before Monday. Ali x #6

Morning Helen, I'm impressed that you've got as far as you have. You are far further on than I am. Great stash of cards ready for writing and posting. Happy WOYWW Sarah #8

Well don on all those great cards. Like your style. I have a few done but confess I will probably need to buy a few as well. I hate doing that and I love to send but sometimes you just have to accept it's not the end of the world if you can't get it all done! Hope shopping goes well. I've still got all that to do as well :-( Anne x #8

Hi Helen, gorgeous cards. I think the stencil is best on Masterboards or applied lightly with inks to the card blank as the snowflakes are quite big. Know how you feel about making the cards, thought about it but still making them , just seems right. Have a very happy woyww, Angela x12x

I know what you mean about a charity donation but the fact is, I just love getting Christmas cards through snail mail! And I enjoy sending them too. My suggestion is that you go into your local Oxfam shop in January and buy their excellent cards at a vastly reduced price, it's what I do! Very nice cards, sheep price and it's for charity - win win win :-D

Best of luck with the shopping.
Thankfully our family agreed that we didn't need to swap large pressies at Christmas cos we usually bought what we wanted when we saw it. Now the pressies are just stupid ones, you know - saw this and thought of you!!! When you see us with a smile on our face which grows bigger the nearer we get to Christmas, you know we have a really 'good' one!!! Such fun, changed our attitude to buying pressies!!!!
Have a good week

Morning! Lovely stack of cards! Fingers crossed you find some gifts that you can get bought today. Coming home empty handed is rubbish! It's so frustrating but at least you still have time to get everything sorted. Have a good day.

Hi Helen, I was surprised how hard it was to find that stamp! I like the snowflake stencil, I like how they are randomly placed, instead of in lines.Great cards, and I nearly always leave doing the insides till later, I agree would be better to do it as I go. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #2 XxX

Good luck shopping! I love all the cards. I've found if I don't do the insides and envelopes at the same time; I end up with cards I never finish...I really need to dig that stack out and "get er done" some weekend! LOL! I love that stencil...what size is it? Enjoy the rest of the week.

You've been busy! I tend not to stamp the insides until later plus I stamp my name on the backs then, too. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

hi Helen, your card making is looking lovely! I really enjoy when you tell us the process. I know so many people now make a donation instead of cards,, I don't send out as many as I once did either, postage has become astronomical here, a phone call is now my go to or a visit and I send cards to the people further away,

Hi Helen, You've been busy. I rarely use my rubber stamps, as I tend to smudge them. Suppose if I used them more often, I'd get better.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Happy WOYWW

Oh great job with the cards Gal, they are lovely. I don’t do the insides until it’s too late, and frequently end up not doing them at all!! And I’m with you, I think next year they will be bought! hope you’ve had a good day’s shopping....how I hate the aimless wandering!

Oh, that is a gorgeous array of cards! I love making cards and do the Christmas cards all year, but still have more to make. The only difficult thing is deciding who gets what card, since they are all different! LOL #36

Hi Helen :) love the cards and nope, I never stamp the insides until the last minute or I just write notes inside them. and the envelopes. why is it making cards is fun and addressing the envelopes is such a chore? (mine are in two baskets one addressed and the other waiting...)

A lovely collection of cards, Helen, and you do seem very organised! Thank you for your visit and your good wishes for my hubby's recovery - we are getting into a better routine now and he's definitely walking a bit more easily on his crutches now. Back to the fracture clinic tomorrow and we'll see how well the bone is knitting. I'm enjoying planning the Christmas meal and getting started with some advance stuff - so therapeutic to roll up my sleeves and get stuck in in the kitchen!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Bravo on getting the cards done (barring the actual writing of them!). Given I can't bring myself to do any Christmas crafting before December, there's little chance I'll ever manage the handmade Christmas card thing - but it is a joy to see them all appearing around Craftyblogland... but I can imagine the pressure gets to be a bit much after a while! Love the cards - especially that adorable deer on gentle green with that wonderful quote (though I do say so myself!!).

What a treasure trove you have made. Not one from me I'm afraid. DH writes out some bought ones and now I just can't believe I used to make so many and now can't manage one!
Thank you so much for your comment, it is really appreciated. Hope you have a great Christmas and a Happy creative 2018
