WOYWW 429 - a very small post show haul....

Hi deskers, welcome to another desk-fest.  Link your workspaces here and have fun!

So, as some of you saw (and were amazed!)  I didn't spend very much at all on Sunday at Stamperarma...but had a great time catching up with friends, which is more important.
as you can see, not very much at all.... the sd card for the camera is still there from last week, and there is also a couple of bits I picked up at The Works on Saturday, some silvery mesh, and some wooden fairies... cheap as chips, and an idea for them will come to me I am sure... (pics from Stamperama here if you want a look)

Elizabeth said I would need lots of space for my gelli prints (when I get my plate) - well we all know space doesn't exist here, so we'll see what happens with that!  I must admit that is the main reason I didn't get one when they first came out.

My nephew liked his birthday card I shared last week, (or possibly the contents of the little gift envelope I put inside!) so that's good.
I am hoping to get time to do a bit more to my fabric book this weekend, as we have a Bank Holiday here on Monday so have an extra day at the weekend.   However, the best laid plans and all that!

Think I got round all the desks (so wish I could comment on the google plus ones) and will try again this week.  Happy WOYWW!

The Works has a lot of very reasonably priced crafty stuff - always worth a browse - and always come home with a few bits and pieces! Happy WOYWW!

Morning Helen. I'm sure you will indeed get inspiration for that lovely looking pile of stash there on your "desk".
Take care. God bless.

I've played with my gelli plate once and have recently been experimenting with bubble wrap and Pixie powders. I recommend you rig up some sort of washing line to pin the printed sheet to...otherwise every surface around you gets covers and suddenly..you can't get out of your space!! I am on a stash diet and have resisted for almost two weeks...stash doesnt include stamps in my mind, see! Glad you had a good time at Stamperama, so nice to take time to 'visit' properly isn't it.

You just have to love a girl who likes to spend and get a bargain at The Works. Great little shop.
Don't mention Gel Plates - I am going to have a go at doing a video with one - why?
Have a good week and BH time off.
Hugs, Neet xx

You've just reminded me I promised a friend my gelli plate and book. I don't use it so I'm passing it on.
You look extremely busy, good luck

I'm a great believer in less is more so as long as what you've bought gets lots of use it's quality rather than quantity.....and takes up less space too ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Make a flat surface out of whatever, make sure it's firm, cover it with a cloth and you're good to go with the gelli plate!!!
Have a fun week and thanks for all your visits and comments.

Brilliant little collection in your space Helen, and restraint is good.. I'm not that great at it myself. Catching up is wa-aaay more important.
Thanks so much for sharing your inspiration!

If you don't have much space for gelli prints why don't you try stringing up a washing line and using pegs to hang the prints while they dry. Glad you caught up with some friends at Stamparama. Happy WOYWW Sarah #18

Hi Helen, I'd actually forgotten it was a Bank Holiday this weekend, so thats a bonus! I was going to make the same suggestion as Sarah, for stringing up a line to hang them from.:) The shows are definitely as much for catching up with friends as shopping, I agree. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 XxX

Hi Helen,
Ooooh nice goodies! Sadly we don't have many shows where I am, or maybe I just never hear of them! I mainly buy online or at Inspirations in Preston. I will resist the temptation of a gelli plate for now, as I still have so many things I bought last year and not really learned how to use. Thanks for stopping by my blog, Heather #6

You're not alone! I have resisted buying any stash for a couple of weeks now as there are three knitting projects on the go at the moment and two sewing things. I must not buy anymore for the moment :-D

Wow- lots of new toys to play with! I love how everything is piled up around you, everything at your finger tips! I am contemplating giving in to the geli craze too, just because it looks like so much fun! It's on my Christmas wish list, along with a Stamping Platform - especially now that most of my stamps are unmounted! I just recently saw a video ad about a series of online workshops given by Carolyn Dube at https://acolorfuljourney.com/ -I would have taken it but it's a bit expensive and I don't have a geli plate yet, but it looked awesome! It is about Geli FUNdamentals! Have a great week, thanks for sharing, Lindart #33

Hi Helen. If you have a problem with the Gelli prints due to lack of space you need a piece of string which can be hung up and then peg the prints to it while they dry, hardly requires any space at all Lol!
Thanks for the visit to mine and have a great woyww, Angela x12x

What a fun looking desk! I put up my geli plate when I am not using it. And I have one whole drawer full of prints I have made with it. I think you have room! :) #30

Oooh all those pretty things to play with, Helen! Thank you for your comment and I'm glad you enjoyed my video. I am hoping Curry's/PC World will be able to sort out my camera problems even if I do have to pay for it.

Happy belated WOYWW,
