WOYWW 406

Welcome back for another Wednesday (already, really?!)
Stuff got in the way of many visits last week, - will try harder this week, but it won't be today as I'm out after work for a birthday curry for one of the lads from work.

My Country View order did arrive (today - er, Tuesday!) - delay was waiting for Paperartsy to supply the stock...

4 new sets of Paperartsy stamps...
and some extra goodies - some Scrapinec chipboard pieces (Noor designs, saw them at Stevenage, great prices, if very thin chipboard) and speedy service - ordered these on Sunday!

The pack of cheesecloth was a snap purchase, been watching some You Tube videos and somebody was using it... hope I can find it again now!  but it'll come in handy for mixed media, so not a waste!

close up of the chipboard pieces.
and under it all, lurks yet another WIP journal page with these fab Tracy Scott (for Paperartsy, of course!) stamps!

Just realised I haven't reminded you why you are here looking at this.   it's WOYWW day.. head to Julia's for the link - and I'll see you when I can!

Another fun desk. I really like the 2 bottom stamps on the first photo, would they fit on the back of an ATC? I've seen several people use Paper Artsy and I found I can by their product on Amazon, also have some awesome videos. . Will be anxious to see what you do with the chipboard pieces. They are fun pieces. Great colors on the the journal pages too. Have a great week. #4

Great new stock Helen, a gal has to get these things when she can, hasn't she. Great to see you using Tracy's stamps - was at a workshop with her on Sunday. Love her to bits!
Those Noor things are fine unless you get them too wet - then they disintegrate. I quite like them left as they are.
Have a good week and enjoy yourself.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Wonderfully colorful journal page! I like the Paperartsy stamps, wish we could get them in the US. I especially like the wildflower and flourishes chipboard. I spray cheesecloth with Dylusions of Perfect Pearls then use it as a background. Diane #15

Ooh lovely new stash - I love the Scrapiniec cut-outs, I've got a box of them somewhere but always forget to use them as they are stuffed away out of sight! Your pages are looking lovely and those bright colours really suit the style of stamps. Have a great week,

Lovely new stash ..... will look out to see what you do with the chipboard. I used some Balsa Wood to diecut some steampunk 'bits' once and then heat embossed them, smashing effect.
have a good week and enjoy your meal tonight.

a lot of new goodies to play with, those chipboards look very intricate. I use cheesecloth for certain tests I perform in the lab, offcuts I grab along home :--), thx for your visit earlier, Vicky

without looking it up I guess cheesecloth is like an open weave muslin? used for making cheese? and 1970s drop shoulder gypsy tops? ( is one allowed to use the term gypsy these days?) - lay it down on mixed media board and paint over with a thin layer of gesso and you have rough canvas - remarkable for picking up pigment and dye so you get intense colour over the swatch - or try buying plaster of paris bandages - wet them and stick them to your board - you can mould loads of texture - fabulous fun... I tend to buy muslin because I like the finer weave... happy crafting d #11 I think Hobbycraft sell the palter of paris thing and it starts with an M - I want to say modgepodge but of course it isn't that...someone who crAFT shops regularly will put me straight! Living on the building site I just make do with the building materials....

Well, you win. I thought I'd spent quite a lot this month! That chipboard is amazing, presumably laser cut. How fab. Hasn't Donna got some fab ideas for the cheesecloth, before you've even got it out of the packet, amazing. Try not to feel pressured!!

I'm very late today been to the gym but then spent the rest of the day washing and sorting the ski gear so crafting has to wait. Off to the NEC tomorrow. Loving your journal page and all that new stuff, look forward to seeing what you do with it. Happy crafty woyww, Angela x 19x

Lovely vibrant flowers. What a great haul you have there. I remember making a dress from cheesecloth when I was a student. It was crinkled though and not quite suitable for making cheese! Have fun experimenting.
