WOYWW - again! - week 333

Well, what can I say? It's Wednesday, it's 5 to 5 and it's ... oh hang on, that's wrong... showing my age there. (used to love Crackerjack on a Friday!)   (those of you not of a certain age and not British will now think I've lost the plot but it was a great kid's tv programme from the... oops  60's and 70's (probably..)  so I googled it, it started in 1955 and ended in 1984.. obviously I don't remember the earliest episodes! )

So, moving swiftly on, it's time for another desk hop with Julia
I'll show you mine if... stop it!!
not a lot going on, (again!) and not Christmas cards either!  Some part done tags and atcs for a swap that I need to finish tomorrow

because they're not finished and not sent off for swapping I won't show them in detail here.

suffice to say the theme is pink (for breast cancer awareness month)
will try and remember to take some close up photos so I can share them when they're finished.

The top picture also shows my open journal (on the pile of "stuff" in front of the wicker basket) which has been sadly neglected for ages, but which I did start faffing about in at the weekend (putting off Christmas cards again!) That didn't get finished either..

The reason the tags and atcs need to be finished tomorrow is because I am away for the weekend with the girls I often go away with, Sam, Emma and Lin; this time we're going on a long train journey to the Stitching Sewing and Papercrafts show, which is happening in Glasgow... well, we fancied a change!!  and as Sam organises the swaps, I can take them with me! .... hopefully....
I know I don't do sewing or stitching, but I'm sure there'll be plenty to enjoy.  Watch this space!
I may therefore be very late getting to many of you to see what you're sharing on your desks so apologies in advance!

First of all have a lovely time at the show. You will enjoy it and you will find you end up spending - don't ask me how I know (and there will be papercraft there I bet). Anyway, it's mainly about the gang of you enjoying yourselves.
Love the references to various things in the past - took me back a bit but maybe I can remember the first of that show.
Hugs, Neet xx (thanks for your visit)

Oh I wish I didn't know what faffing was! Your plans for the weekend sound like a ball to me. For once, I've got a plan of my own - am off to scrapbook with four others..really looking forward to it! Love the bright pink that you're using, that's powerful in all senses; now all you have to do is finish them and remember to take them with....thats the hard part for me!!

Pink goodness, an open art journal and a lovely bird-stamp in the background... it couldn't get better than that! Enjoy your go-away with the girls! Happy woyww and love from Holland, Marit #13

Ah so know what faffing is, Helen :D.. I call myself Queen Faffalot .. cos do it an awful lot.. must be the worst around.
Mm am also deferring Christmas card too but time is chewed up sorting long overdue computer so not all bad though you dont have much to show for that do you?
Enjoy your show, I loved mine and to be honest was very glad there were not more stalls with our stuff.
I really was quite overwhelmed enough as it was.. brain overload.. left early cos was bone weary, and spent enough :D
Saw brushos being demoed but they were out of my budget to be honest, too dear for one little pot of colour and one wouldn't be enough.
Thanks so much for popping over.

Oh, great! I love long train journeys. How long does it take from Surrey to Glasgow? Do you have a direct train? I'm sure you will have a great girlie time even though you don't do sewing. There's bound to be papercraft stuff too. Enjoy. (and please share next week)
Have a great week,

How I loved Crackerjack!! Wish they could bring something like that back but I suppose it would stress out the children holding all those prizes/cabbages!!
Have a good week

I must have been at your photo blog (woefully late, though) when you left a comment on mine. I forgot to mention I had to laugh at the remark about not being able to afford anything at the Kew art thingy. You spend more money than anyone I know, and you buy the latest art and craft supplies, so the items on sale at this event must have cost a FORTUNE.

Hope you have fun at the stitch, sew, and papercrafting weekend. I am not big on most quilts and such, but I love fabric that I can tear or alter in some way. So I hope you take lots of photos. And HAVE fun, too!

How exciting to be at the Glasgow show. I'm headed to the NEC in November, but that's about as far as I'm prepared to go for a show (I'll go much further for workshops!!) - and that's only because I'm in Coventry the next day for classes. Hope you're having a fabulous time.

Oh yes, and Crackerjack in its heyday was a must-see... went sadly off the boil without Ed Stewpot Stewart...
