WOYWW 305

Hi, fellow deskers. Time for another WOYWW I know I didn't get to many of your desks last week, despite having a long Easter weekend.  I also didn't do any of the sorting out that I intended, crafting won, as several of you suggested!  (had a couple of trips out with the camera too, you can see the results on my photosbyh blog)

Haven't delved further in the box on the chair for you either, in fact I think it's getting higher... and I'm going to Ally Pally (Alexandra Palace) on Saturday for the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show... can't wait!

So, got a couple of full room views (eek it looks full like this!) for you today..
you can't really see anything up close.. you should be able to click to enlarge... if you're brave enough!
the sofa takes up too much room - needs replacing (has broken springs) but it's too big to get out easily!! - just think how much more stuff I could have if it were smaller...
The canvas I made at the weekend is still on the mat on the floor
so I zoomed in so you could see a bit more..

No doubt I may buy one or two bits on Saturday to share with you next week! Have fun.

Helen WOW that's a big space you have so much to play with and have fun at shopping trade in your sofa for a shelf system and then imagine how much your space would hold :)

I would be kicking out the lounge suite and putting a desk in the or a big table up the middle. Gosh that is a lot of fun stuff to play with.

Hello Helen thanks for your visit already, with shrink plastic i find it is best to heat it slow and low and if all else fails you can always do it in the oven, i also splat it quickly with a spare clear box so that it cools flat. hth

Enjoy Ally Pally i was going to go but it clashes with crop weekend for me so i have planned a trip to a good craft store in kings lynn in a few weeks instead :)

Happy wwoyw

Hi Helen, maybe Ali H and I will see you on Saturday as we are making the trip up. That's an awful lot of lovely craft stuff you have. I'm trying to make a bit of room for a bit more if anything catches my eye on Saturday!

How do you know where everything is?! I think the sofa definitely needs to give way for more crafting room, lol.
Have fun at a Ally Pally at the weekend, think you might bump into other WOYWWers there!

Helen, you get a man to clear out that sofa and then you can have more room to store more stash. I just love looking at what you have and even more at what you get. Can't wait for next week to see the purchases. Bet majority are PPA. We'll see if I am right.
Hugs and Thanks for sharing - Neet 20 xx

Like most of us, you have filled your space to the brim! I've been spending quite a bit of my time looking for stuff lately. I put it away and then can never remember where it went!

Great amount of space for your craft endeavours but I think you may need satnav to locate all your craft goodies. It truly is like aladdins treasure cave.

Thanks for the BIG view ... I have often wondered ....
I think you should trade in the sofa for shelves as well - what do you need the sofa for anyhow!!! You can't craft on it.

Enjoy Pally and look forward to seeing your purchases ... you know you will!! lol

What would you sit on if you got rid of the sofa? The chair is full of stuff too.
I'm just a teensy bit envious that you are going to Ally Pally. I'm coming to the UK the month of May but I don't think there is anything crafty going on....
Have a good week,

Crafting should always go before cleaning up... unless the mess is so bad that creative processes suffocate! Have a fun (crafty) weekend and happy woyww :)

Helen that room has "artist resides here" written all over it! Love it. You always go to some great shows too! I don't think my city is big enough to ever get a good stamping or crafting show in here. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #40

Hi Helen, I think you could have elevated shelving as there is space up above Lol! It is a great space and you do have loads of lovely stash. I think the room needs a make-over and you are probably right about the sofa.
Have a great week, wish I was going to Ally Pally but I am going to a workshop Saturday so never mind.

I love that you showed us the big picture! You have a lot of stuff in your room. I'll bet it is a fabulous place to play. I agree that the sofa needs to go so you have more room for other stuff! Judy #56

Oh my goodness, what a lot of fab stuff - do you have system and know where everything is? As someone who clears the work table constantly, even in the middle of projects, my OCD is kicking in seeing this and I'm needing to take some deep breaths!!! Looking forward to seeing what you come back with from Ally Pally - have a great week,

I wonder. What percentage of stuff you use....I reckon I use the top 10% of my stamps..as in..the nearest layer!! I haven't seen your room all in one go like that, I imagined it longer for some reason. But would you replace the sofa with another chair or a desk or what?!!

Elizabeth said...

Just think of the stuff you would have to move to get that sofa out of there. However, I like Eliza's suggestion that you dump the sofa and get a huge desk/table to craft on instead ... why waste space on a sofa :) :) Can't wait to see what you bring back from the Ally Pally ... if only because I'm not going so won't be tempted! Have a good week. Elizabeth x #50

Hi, Helen, hope you have fun at Ally Pally and find lots of fun stuff to bring home. I think all of us that work on desks or tables want to bring you into the fold -- ha, ha. Maybe you could keep the chair and just get rid of the couch? Happy WOYWW from Laura #55

Glad to see someone else has the organizational skills that I do. Straightening up and getting organized takes up too much art time.

Looks like you have a lot of fun in your craft room, it seems very well organised,

Hi Helen, been a long time since I've dropped in....oops I better watch my step. I see some cool looking bird stamps down here in my corner. Hmm, get rid of the sofa. Maybe some charity would pick it up? Have fun shopping! You're my last stop today. Hw

I agree with LLJ, you need more crafting space and less sitting space.

Happy WOYWW, thanks for sharing
