Paperartsy 2015 Launch - play time!!

Sunday saw the first post announcing new Paperartsy products for 2015 - starting with Fresco paints, in some totally LUSH colours!  an immediate order was put in (Artist Trading Post) and they arrived today - pretty good going, I think you will agree!

the stamps are from Sara Naumann and will get their official launch at PA later in the week, but the shops were allowed to sell them from Sunday, so they "fell" into my basket...
The box of paints are Lin Brown's latest Limited Edition, and they are fabulous! the other two are part of the new colours. (wanted more but showed a little restraint...)
so, after dinner tonight I started to play... painted the journal page with the Carribean Sea and stamped the flower (one of Lin's earliest ones) in Chalk Fresco, so that the translucent colours I wanted to use, would show over the background.

The leaves are also Lin's and I used Tinned Peas and highlights of Chartreuse and Hyde Park
I then used the Banana and Tangerine Twist on the flower and overstamped the flower on the journal.   Not totally happy with this, but the colours are fabulous and that was the point of tonight- playing.

Stamped the phrase (another Lin stamp) on white card and stuck it to the page.

added some dots of Slate to the centres of the flowers, and a dragonfy (an old mini, from Paperartsy) which I coloured with the Bougainvillea, which is semi opaque, straight over the blue - great coverage - and added gloss glaze once dry.

Then, to see what the paints are like on white, I created a mini JoFY masterboard using some of her earlier flowers, and painted them with Lin's new paints... beautiful colours,Lin, I will use these LOTS!!

Can't wait for my second order (ahem) of some of Lin's new sets of stamps, which are  on their way..

Thanks for looking.

You must have been one of the first people in the country to get your hands on my new paint Helen. I'm thrilled that you like them, your journal page looks beautiful, bright colours to cheer everything up on a dull day. It's incredibly exciting for me to see you enjoying my new stuff. Thank you.

Lin x

Oh, beautiful - I love the Caribbean Sea in the background (have the set but would you believe, haven't cracked that one open yet) and the quote is great.
