Harry's Playing in the Puddles

Country View Crafts have a new challenge for February, "drips and drops" and I immediately knew what I wanted to do.

I grabbed a canvas (it measures just under 6 x 8 inches) and the Primary Cyan and Turquoise Shimmer misters from Deco Arts
started with the Cyan, spritzed and let it run, adding water to speed the drips.
shook the Turquoise a bit hard, ended up with a load of ink inside the lid, so used that too to make some circles. They dripped a bit too.
some more drips, and also used the Shimmer White too, which seems much thicker and less inclined to drip.

Some more circles with black gesso, and stamped some of the raindrops from Water Effects 2 (stamps by Ryn) onto the canvas in black archival. and some of the bigger rain drops with Snowflake fresco.

Harry (aka Feather Bird by Lost Coast Designs)  is stamped in black archival  on tissue and painted in Chalk fresco lightly on the back, and then watered down Beach Hut from the front, to blend the torn edges into the background more.

"play in the puddles" is a stamp from Hobby Art, stamped on white card and a couple of drops of the Cyan, watered down to blend it over the text.  I edged it with a broad nibbed pen to make it stand out more on the canvas.

Finished with some splatters of the white mister made by tapping the end of the spray tube.

Had great fun with this, it was a shame whilst I was doing it, Andy Murray lost in the Australian Open tennis final, but you can't have everything you want!!

I bet you did have fun with this one Helen, I adore the 'drippy look', want to go try that out right now.

Agree with you, ten mins on the field and one in the net, what may have been if he were fit sooner.
