a Teeny Tiny journal page..

I was expecting a new Craft Barn Challenge today, as traditionally they've been launched on a Sunday, however the new year's challenges are apparently due tomorrow. So, I should be making some January birthday cards...

But here's a journal page I've been playing with instead! Even this started as a base for something else which I can't share yet but morphed away from that...
the page is Turquoise Fresco, the stencil is the 12x12 Art Is stencil I got in one of my splurges before Christmas, and I used grunge paste which once it was dry I largely sanded back.  The stamp is one of the large flowers from Ellen Vargo and I coloured it with Portfolio pastels, heating each colour in turn before adding more.  I stamped the text (Lin Brown) on a piece of tissue and lightly painted it with Beach Hut Fresco before gluing it to the page with matte medium and blending it over the top with paint.
As the text says, Take a moment to embrace today!

Like this lots, so fresh - love the turquoise fresco. I like your EV flower - I barely use that one and always seem to pick up the tulip type one, must change that I think! Claire xx

Ooh - love the large size Art Is (tempter!) and the turquoise makes for a perfect tropical sky behind those fab flowers.

What a fab piece Helen, love all the grunge paste and those funky flowers.

Sad news indeed about Stevie, but can understanding him announcing it now, at least it will take pressure of the team during the window otherwise rumors would be constant. But - who will wear the iconic number 8 in future ?

Once again, I'm running late. Just read your comment about embedded comments. I changed mine for a day and hated it, so went back to the pop-up, full well knowing we don't have to prove anything except we are here (grin).

This is a gorgeous spread. I love the stencil you used and of course, that stamp is lovely, especially the way you colored it.

Looks like the Craft Barn isn't going to be as prompt as we thought, since they haven't posted once this year.
