She art...

I recently purchased the "She was a daughter" stamp by Christy Tomlinson and decided it was time she saw some action...

The background colours on this journal page have been through many transformations, over the last few days/weeks - leftovers of this that and the other colour.. but finally they've ended up with Dusty Teal (from this morning's earlier post for the Craft Barn challenge!) although it's had a watered down Chalk wash too..

I LOVE this stencil of Lin Brown's for Paperartsy.... soooo much!!
washed over it again, with watered down Chalk Fresco, which isn't quite as harsh as the Snowflake white
used one of Lin's new stamps for Paperartsy in the background, in Cornflower Blue archival, randomly over both pages.  The text is one of Donna Downey's, on some white card covered with Dusty Teal and stuck and sealed with matt medium
'She was a daughter' was stamped on Smoothy paper and painted with Peacoat, Dusty Teal, Bora Bora and Sage Fresco's thinning them with water to aid transparency where necessary.

Cut her out and fixed her to the page with matt medium
Thanks for looking!

Oh yum! Background is gorgeous, so subtly muted but full of depth (after all it's been through, I guess!), and the colours of her skirt are right up my street - I want one to wear!! Making me feel guilty though... I bought that stamp yonks ago, and as yet it remains uninked - sigh!
