Gingersnap challenge - copper ginger or rust

There is a new colour challenge at Gingersnap Creations - to use copper, ginger or rust in a piece of art.  This is the same colour challenge they used to launch their challenge blog a year ago.  I wasn't blogging then, but this is my entry - although I am not sure if it needs something else as well?

I coloured a circle chip with black dabber paint, added some terra paste to which I added copper dabber paint, and found (using more leftovers - that's twice this week!) a piece of cuttlebugged copper which I trimmed to fit the circle, and scooched round the edge with a TSS wheel.

I tried to age it a bit with some paint, but it hasn't worked too well.  I stamped the Wendy Vecchi message on a scrap of card and stuck it to the chip.  Finally I found a small dragonfly which I painted black and copper, but it didn't show up very well, so I coverd it with versamagic ink and some rust perfect pearl powder.

AND Liverpool won tonight too.  Now its bedtime - and tomorrow's Friday, yippee nearly the weekend!!

Yep, nice textures, here, Helen. Love the colors, too. Love brown tones. I like the rustic look of the butterfly, very cool!

This is beautiful, Helen, and I don't think it needs a thing. Perfect, as is!
