Ally Pally - and a demo'ing debut

Just got home and had dinner, from a great day at Ally Pally (not even put my feet up yet, that's dedication for you!)

Had a great time demo'ing for Leandra and Paperartsy, even if I did feel sick before I started.. but it was great... we'll start at the beginning though!

Lucy is being my glamorous assistant, holding a wooden heart which I'd painted, whilst it dried..

 then I tore up my tissue background and glued it onto the heart (thanks for the idea, Lin, it worked a treat!) think this is the quickest I've ever used anything I've bought at a show, lol!!

 Emma was still working next to me, unfortunately I didn't really get to see what she was doing! Bistres were involved though!

 final tag I made with some leftover paint, and Darcy's snowman .. I gave this one to Jo.

 then it was off to the pub for a drink (much needed) I didn't notice Kirsten with her tongue out!!  Lauren Hatwell is next to Lin - was great to meet her too.

 then home, and unpacked... these are the tags I took with me - together with a candle I'd decorated with stamped tissue and Darcy's stamps.

WOYWW 327... I can now share ...

.. well partly share.  Welcome to another WOYWW where Julia links us all up and allows us to share our workspaces...

so, a couple of weeks ago I had a secret... no longer!  Some of you have seen the reveal.. here  and some more sneak peaks here   but in case you don't have time to read the posts, I'll tell you again.

It's the Crafting at Ally Pally show on 19th and 20th September and Paperartsy are having guest demonstrators to demonstrate on their stand... of whom, I am one! (just on the Saturday) Well done, Shaz in Oz, you were closest with your guess that I was doing a  guest design spot

So, on to my desk today.. sorry, my space on the floor, today...

some new thinlets dies arrived just in time for the WOYWW show and tell, lol!  they are hiding the tags I'll be demoing (or some of the ideas I'll be using anyway) on 19th September.

So of course you  can't see very well, mainly because the tags might just include some of the new stamps Paperartsy are revealing on their blog this week and so I can't beat them to it.. take it from me, there are some fabulous new sets coming! (and yes, I've ordered some already!)

so, if any of you are coming along to Ally Pally on the Saturday, I'll be the one quaking in her boots behind the stand - do come and say hi!

Paperartsy at Ally Pally

I was thrilled (and not a little nervous) to be given the chance to take a spot on the Paperartsy demo desk at this month's newly renamed "Crafting at Ally Pally" show in London (formerly The Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show). in a couple of weeks time .I've never done anything like this before so be kind to me if you are there!  It's getting close now!

I will be demoing Hot Picks and Darcy's new Christmas stamps (ooh new stamps ?- yes!!)  - here are a few sneaks of what I will be doing/stamps I'll be using..  I'm up at the end of the day from 3.30 till closing time (and hot-footing it to the bar afterwards for what is becoming the regular "after show" drink/chat/tweetup) I think I'll need it more than usual this year...

Ally Pally - Spendy spends and Friendy Friends ...

So I 'm back from a great day at Ally Pally for the first Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show of the year... a chance to meet up with old - and new - friends and splurge...

As the Version Scrap show in Paris clashed this year, Paperartsy were represented by some of the "'patwits" and Nina's Crafting Time .... Leandra had lined up several guest demonstrators - cue Darcy, Liz, Alison, Gabrielle, Emma  and Jo.

I arranged to meet the lovely Miriam, travelling up from Bristol at Kings Cross, little did we know there are two ways down to the Piccadilly tube line that we needed for the end of the journey to Ally Pally... but we found one another eventually..

First stop is always Paperartsy, where the demonstrations had just got under way...

some gifts - some of Gabrielle's demo pieces.  The tube is a bit of a joke - although a beautiful one!  A few days ago, Gabrielle said on twitter, she'd got my present ready... couldn't think what she meant.. but when I opened the tube up, it holds some pieces of wallpaper I'd commented on (she'd used some in a craft project a while ago...) thanks Gabrielle, the wallpaper is still gorgeous but the tube is fantastic!!

It was as always, lovely to see everyone, you made what is becoming a very disappointing show, so worth going!  See you in September...
