I can't believe it is Wednesday again already or that I am back at work after my few days off - they go so fast! But, Wednesday it is and time for WOYWW with Sarah.
I had an anniversary atc from Julia (thank you! which I have forgotten to photograph...)
I've been busy playing in the ledger journal
this was based on a Dina supporter FB livethe background for once, is Tim Holtz sprays, everything else is Dina's, tags, collage tissue, transparencies and paints
this was trying to rescue the layer underneath which I didn't like... not totally sure about the current state this is in, other than the white gesso'd swirl over the green (Dina's gloss in Malachite and brushed out) I do like how the white has picked up the colour.
blobs of various gloss colours, and the two pages squished together (butterfly prints as kids, anyone remember?!)
poppies at Kew
I had several trips to Kew last week as some of you saw on FB, (I've linked the first one of the extra trips)
and the ceramic poppies at the Tower of London
I even got to see a titan arum almost opened at Kew !
thanks for looking - I can't quite believe it is nearly June... I mean, come on, where has the year gone?
Happy WOYWW!

Your journal pages are looking lovely. The turquoise one reminds me of my peacock pic on Lynne crafts post. The poppies look stunning don't they - what a super trip out .x x Jo 🌈
Looks like you're making a good job of the journal pages and the poppies look amazing bet they are even better in real life. Have a good woyww, hugs Angela x8x
Love your journal pages, the white does really highlight that flourish, very clever! I like your bright piece too, definite butterflies (or pili pala in Welsh!). The poppies at the Tower were stunning, thanks for sharing the pics xx
And yes, how can it possibly be nearly June??!
Hugs LLJ 3 xx
Don't know what went wrong but some pictures came as white rectangles.
I saw the journal page and I love the way you have layered everything, especially love the transparency of the woman.
The next page looks gorgeous, reminds me of peacock feathers although I suspect it is the colour that links me to the bird.
Love the poppy.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx
Great journal pages. Love the first one, I am hopeless when it comes to using quotes! The ceramic poppy display is fabulous, as is your close up. Time does go quickly, we need a new line the to poem. When I got to 52, time flew! Happy WOYWW. Angela #9
Hello Helen, sad for you that your holiday has ended and your back to work again so soon. Glad to see that despite that you're still finding time to make your lovely journal pages. Lovely Kew pics, especially the poppies, my favourites. A few years ago, I donated a poppy for the annual display. I wonder if it is in this year's display. Have a lovely week. Elizabeth x #14
Super ledger journal pages and yay you got to see a titan arum almost open. It's pretty amazing. Yes having the sewing machine out on a separate "permanent" table was brilliant for Making Zen. I was pretty busy, hence my late reply. Hugs BJ#5
Love the top page so much, it's fab! the standout one for me. But that Poppy display, Wowza!
The week got away from me but Happy (so late) WOYWW!
