WOYWW 811

Hello fellow deskers.  Time for WOYWW again, where we meet up to share our crafty spaces.

I was really sad to see on Facebook this week that our lovely Christine passed away in November.  Sadly I didn't hear about it until after FB told me it was her birthday last week and I wished her a happy birthday... oops.  We will miss her and her pink hair.

this is from the crop a couple of years ago.

rest in peace, Christine.

so.  who's ready for Christmas...?  Not me that's for sure...

I was watching You Tube on Sunday and saw an idea from Alison Bomber for livening up some cash envelopes for presents for my niece and nephew.
I also made a card for my brother and his wife.

my Kew buddy Kim and I were able to meet up at Kew this week with there being no storms and it was good to get out in the fresh air again.

They lost about 8 trees during the previous week's storm, we saw the remnants of one on our walk round.

there was even some sunshine!

the office party was good fun, it was held at Epsom Downs Race Course (same place we went last year)

sorry, Neet, no photos.  I can't work out how to lift the group photo off our company FB page..

I'm not sure if there'll be a link up next week or if I'll be here to join in (still not sure of my Christmas Day plans)  so I'll wish you all a very Happy Christmas now, in case!

Oh I did not know about Christine,, that has made me very sad. I was wondering how she was going and had tried to find out at one time because I missed her. So sorry to read this.
Love your card and love the gift envelopes - must take a note of those for my nephew's next year. I've lost touch with Alison since she moved to Prague.
As long as you had a good time at the party, that is all that matters.
Happy Christmas
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Oh Helen! I did not know either. How sad. I wonder how long her digital footprint will keep sending her things? Your cash envelopes are very festive, and what a great idea. Happy Holidays!
On time!

That's a great shame, Christine was such a lovely person. Before I forget you should be able to copy the photos from the website by using a screen shot. Loving the card they are some of my favourite stamps, so cute. Hope your Christmas is a happy one. Hugs Angela x9x

Don’t feel mortified re Christine, we weren’t to know and I wished her HB too. Her daughter has asked me for any photos I may have of Christine and I notice that yours today was from a Crop that I didn’t attend. Maybe you could post it for her or send via Messenger.
I like the envelopes you’ve altered, it makes it seem better than just cold hard cash/gift cards!

I like your little envelopes - I spend a lot of time decorating money envelopes, it makes it so much nicer when giving cash or gift cards - it looks like a lot of effort went into the gift. I'm glad you enjoyed your Christmas party and I hope you have a lovely Christmas, wherever you spend it.

I like your cash envelopes, and your Kew photos were lovely, especially the Bird of Paradise flowers, I think they’re called? Good to see the cygnets growing up, too.
Take care and happy WOYWW / Christmas

So sorry to hear about your friend. I love the envelopes. Such a smart way to make gifting cash a little more special. I am gifting my mom a professional carpet cleaning service and I obviously can't wrap that but maybe I can decorate a cute envelope with a note in it. Thanks for the inspiration. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

I sent Christine a card, so don't feel bad about her birthday wishes in FB, after all, we all had the best intentions. Very sad to hear, what a character she was, as you say, we'll miss her. Loved your card, thanks so much, and I like the card for your Bro too, twice as much card making as I've done this month. Crazy. Whatever the plan turns out to be, hope you enjoy a good break over Christmas, and you enjoy whatever you do! X

Oh No Christine! So sad. Thank you for letting us know. I'm quite shocked but there again she hadn't been on here in a while. Bless her beautiful soul. Love the updated money envelopes, super cool and fun card too. Glad you got to Kew but shame they lost some trees though. Epsom Downs is just up the road from me glad you had a good time, as for the photo, can you see it on your phone? as I'd say screenshot it there if you can. I do believe Sarah will be scheduling a post for next week and I won't have housegroup so I'll be along!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New WOYWW Year to you.
