WOYWW 760 -Christmas

Happy WOYWW fellow deskers, I hope you enjoyed your Christmas celebrations and if they are continuing, I hope they are remaining so.

I went to my brother's for the day and we had lots of food and drink, none of which I had to prepare (even better!)   Since I came home on Boxing Day I have cooked my own roast dinner and am looking forward to leftovers! .

there was a pretty tree
gift opening

Richard got a good flame going on the pudding

he used quite a lot of brandy!

I had some nice presents,  chocolates, a book I'd seen that I thought would be interesting and a gift voucher and the calendar from my  boss.

Needless to say no crafting has been done since last week!

I am hoping if the weather remains decent, to visit the Tower in London and check out their Christmas celebrations.
In the meantime, Happy WOYWW and wishing you all the best for the New Year.

Sounds like you had a lovely time at your brother's, Helen! That pudding is sure impressive with the flames! Too bad you have to go back to work so soon in January - I managed to book the first week off, but I know I'll end up working anyway, otherwise I will be overwhelmed when I do go back the following week, but at least I don't have to go into the office and I can work on my own terms in my own time - not as good as actually being on holiday LOL, but that's the way it goes! Wishing you all the best in 2024! xx zsuzsa #12

Oh that book certainly looks interesting, hoping the weather holds out for your Tower visit. Our son is staying an extra day due to the storm today, not great for driving back to Cambridge. Happy New Year Hugs BJ #3

Cor, you're right about the flame, ours was a bit piffling by comparison! Mind you, we had a mild panic because one of our guests wanted to drink brandy and lemonade and we only have the half bottle left after years of only using it on the pudding, so poor Pam was probably getting short measures! That velvet used chocolate looks really good, I might have to force a bottle of that on someone so that I can try it! No crafting here either, but plan to change that today. Enjoy the Tower, I bet it'll be fab. That's if you can stop it raining like stair rods for long enough, gawd, it's been horrible. Thursday today, it's dry but still ever so windy!

Flippin' 'eck! That is some flame for sure. But why the book? Surely your photos would rival anything in there! Hope the roast dinner was fab - we are still working on leftovers all this week, then the good luck meal of black-eyed peas over cornbread & ham on New Year's Day so we will have leftovers from that too! Yippee!
Happy Christmas week WOYWW!
