WOYWW 751

Welcome deskers. Wednesday again, time for WOYWW

I did some more layers to last week's journal pages.  (not finished, needs a title or a quote.

Around the neon circles I'd done last week I added some stencilling  - paints this time, Sky and Heather.  and stamped some little dots in black and white (which is gesso)  I found one of Dina's stamps that was slightly curved so it would fit round the circles.  Shame I didn't have one that curled the other way round for the top layer of circles!

The journal is Dina's small square kraft journal, BJ; I've never handmade a journal !

I've ordered the 4 sets of new stamps that Dina launched on Monday.... so they should be here for next week's desk!

Kew on Saturday was.... wet.  Not, luckily as wet as Scotland or most of the rest of the country... I feel so sorry for all those people who've been flooded out.

water literally dripping of the berries

I love this path when it's been raining hard, the puddles show such gorgeous reflections of the Temperate House

I don't think this coming Saturday will be quite as wet... but it's still forecast to be  wet

Jan, I think 3 years till I get my state pension.  Am hoping I might be able to stop working before then though!

Thanks for looking, and I'll catch up with you soon.  Happy WOYWW

Lovely colours in your journal. What dedication to Kew though! Beautiful photos in the rain and gorgeous autumn colours. The water lily leaves were striking, the wet berries and the smelly flower against the light.
Hope it’s drier this week. I can definitely recommend retirement, and don’t miss work at all.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Hope Kew is a bit drier for you - a certain amount of rain can be atmospheric but its been bad this week (thankfully the wo5st overnight). Have a lovely week!! Love n hugs, Cindyxx #9

Fab Kew pics as usual, you do have a knack for seeing the things I wouldnt, like the little cluster of berries and the fab reflections. The bendy Dina stamp is such a good fit, and I really like the words.., that page looks a treat to me!

Even if it isn't finished, I love it. The turquoise round the edges really compliments the circles. Thanks for the journal info, noted. So many colours in the berries and the wetness makes the colours so much more intense doesn't it. As for State pension age, just looked mine up and it's at 67yrs in 2031, same for the old bus pass too, ho hum. Fortunately for me hubby is that much older and has retired so I'm going with retired at 60yrs next February - YAY. Although retirement for me has been slowly passing on some of my household jobs to hubby, slowly but it's happening...Hugs BJ#13 late as usual!
