WOYWW 717

Here we are at another Wednesday for WOYWW - and March too!

I've had a very lazy week (craft-wise,  work has been busy!)

i took a "desk" shot at some time during the weekend from the sofa...

I'd been playing in the small white Dina journal with the neon paints

I layered them up, to reduce the translucency and wow does it intensify the colour!

I added some scribble stamps over this

but didn't like it at all so stencilled some paint over to hide it

it's not black, but Night, a very dark blue (Dina Wakley paint)

that was the sum total of my crafting!

I will add something to the page as a focal image at some stage..

I'll be heading to Kew of course of Saturday coming for a last visit to the orchids (it closes on Sunday) - last week was cold!

but there were plenty of signs of Spring (at last! )

I do love blossom on trees at the end of winter!

thanks for looking,  happy WOYWW

WOW they are mighty bright aren't they, love how you layered on top to calm it all down a bit. As for the orchids, my other plant decided to flower too so I now have 4 blooms on that oen to go with the 2 on the other one. Horrah Hugs BJ#8

I absolutely love how you've done that page and can't wait to see what comes next. Try not to work too hard though I know that's easy to say. Wishing you a happy woyww, Angela x9x

While the coloured blobs are great, putting that stencil on top really brought the whole thing together! That’s a technique to use agin and again, perfect for card backgrounds and all sorts! Love the Kew pics, things are sprouting here too though I think they’re in for a shock next week with a temp change!

Those colours are intense but how lovely when you put the dark blue over the top - it works!
Love the Kew pictures, my crocus are up and one of my orchids is blooming again. Not quite up to Kew standards.

Love the bright and dark layers of your journal page, Helen. It’s amazing how much colour there is at Kew already. The little yellow and purple flowers (maybe in the alpine house) were lovely. I do wonder if they put that ‘won’t last long’ notice on plants to challenge them?
Many thanks
Take care and happy WOYWW

It's amazing how that Night paint transforms the neon colours. Lovely for a background piece x x Jo

I can’t get over how cold it is..I’m beginning to think I’ve turned into a trembling orchid! Not surprised you don’t get to much during the week, working and commuting is exhausting. Longer lighter days are coming, hang in there! Love the layers neon paints, blimey, they get opaque really well don’t they. The long shot of your erm, desk made me just for a minute, think that you’d had a delivery of loads of paint in shrink wrapping! Of course I blinked and realised it’s acrylic storage, I mean, you wouldn’t buy them all at once would you!!!

Good morning, Helen.
I always look forward to your Kew visits/ photos. Thank you for taking us along. My daffodils have been blooming and my lonely crocus popped open a couple of days ago. Spring is coming.
Really like how the journal page is coming along. I think you did right adding that dark navy. Kind of made the neons play nicer. hehe Creative Blessings! Kelly #16
