WOYWW 589

It's happy desk day again - WOYWW 589 - time to share your crafty spaces - head to Julia's for all the info

With not having a morning at Kew I thought I'd have lots of time at the weekend to get some crafting done...

I had a couple of birthday cards to make....

I used the new "crazy waves" stencil I got last week, and the dancing hares die (Tim Holtz)
for the first one

and the Dina Wakley stamp set for the second one

Then I turned my attention to my journal

my new Kew membership card arrived at the weekend and was in a lovely envelope covered in pictures of allium beds at Kew and other images - sadly the Palm House on the front cover was on the reverse of the alliums and I couldn't work out how to use both

the alliums won and I repeated the crazy waves stencilling in the background and then added some flowers stencilled over the top

the green flaps were used for the hares in the birthday card
I still haven't rectified the journal page from last week... maybe next week!

so although i didn't get to go toKew last week, you still get a glimpse!

Morning Helen, really nice to have a little bit of normality back into my life again. That crazy wave stencil is awesome, like a meadow backdrop for those hoppy hares. The journal page reminds me of a brochure, good use of the Kew envelope. Take care & Happy WoywW Tracey xx

Absolutely love those hares! Oh heck, I want!
I would have scanned the envelope to get the two images but you made the right choice and did something useable.
Why no visit to Kew, have I missed something?

Love your dancing hares, Helen, and your Kew envelope makeover is a triumph. You could always scan and print anything on the reverse that you want to keep. As always, your colours are wonderful - a lovely subtle blend. Great stuff! Thank you for your comment and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Hippety hoppety - the dancing rabbits looks great against the crazy waves, and I love the DW one - really powerful in its simplicity. The journal spread is pure magic - well done, Kew, for your mailart!
