WOYWW 577

Time to welcome one and all to WOYWW for another desk share day -  as ever the week  has completely whizzed by but I still can't be bothered to try the new blogger  - perhaps if I ignore it long enough it will just go away!

I had a panic on Tuesday morning when I realised I didn't have a birthday card ready to send to my cousin who's birthday is Thursday, the day before mine (we're a year apart)  so I had to make a card before work to get it in the post

I used one of the Paperartsy hares that was already stamped out I just had to add some colour and layer it onto a card mount.  Super speedy and thankfully I remembered to photograph it before sticking the envelope down!
In hindsight I don't like the colours I used but it was too late to re-do it so it had to go!

I've still been getting a lift to and from work, but have booked a time slot at Kew for Saturday morning so will be getting the train and test out travelling in public again!  I am so looking forward to it; after all these weeks.  I was going to keep it secret till I got there and posted some photos but I have had some more problems with my phone this week (thankfully sorted again, replacement battery seems to have worked...) so just in case I'll tell you now!
Till next week, happy WOYWW and look out for flower photos!

I'll leave you with tonight's quite subtle sunset

Nice hare card, CAS was what you intended wasn't it (wink wink)? In fact I like CAS cards most of all, something about the white card does it for me.
Good to see you are off to Kew, just don't do too much walking about if it is hot. We don't want another black eye!

Oh well done Helen, panic making cards is not a strength of mine and I always end up wishing I’d brought one and even at bleary o,clock you manage a really good one! Takes me too long even to choose the stamps these days! Am so pleased for you about Kew...it will be lovely and Social Distancing shouldn’t be too much of a problem either. I can see you’re going to have a long day. Don’t over do it gal, you need to get your Kew stamina back up!

Oh well done for remembering the birthday! I usually look at the calendar the day after and curse.... ;-). Time and which day it is seem to have lost all meaning at the moment. I'm pleased that you're feeling up to heading to Kew again, hope you have a lovely day.

That's a great card at short notice - we just printed one off the internet for Father's Day - how's that for lazy LOL! How exciting that you can go back to Kew's. You should be ok as long as everyone wears a mask on the train. Have fun - the heat should be gone by then. Take care zsuzsa #24 xx

Hi Helen, happy birthday for Friday. I really couldn't put a card together that quickly but I do have a selection of open cards that I can quickly add a sentiment too (Mr M always is last minute for wanting a card). Happy birthday for Friday, and hope you enjoy your trip to Kew, and that the weather keeps fine for you. Thanks for telling me about the link- I corrected it, and now probably messed up everyone's numbers lol. Have a lovely week and a wonderful birthday, hugs Heather xx #4

Hi Helen! I am always embarrassed that I have a depleted source of birthday and get well cards for family and friends. I am a papercrafter that makes a lot of cards and yet, I am always scrambling to make cards for family and friends. Your Hare card is so cute. I am sitting out on my deck while I type to you. There is a lovely breeze that has been absent for days. It's suppose to rain today so I am happy because I won't have to water my garden. Thinking of curling up with a book after I snoop. I can't wait to see your photos from Kew. But be careful my friend. See you next week!

Hi Helen, sweet card. I tend to try and make two the same when making cards so I have one for when I get stuck for ideas but I have to say they often get sent out because there is a birthday I've forgotten. Hope you enjoy your day out at Kew. Happy woyww, Angela x19x

Well done getting the speedy card done in time, Helen. Wow, Kew again! You must be soooo looking forward to that! I hope you will share lots of photos with us. I have never been, but almost feel as if I have, as I have seen all your gorgeous pictures, and catch your enthusiasm for it. How is your arm now? Are you fully recovered from that awful fall? I hope you have had no further recurrences of blacking out. Are you having investigations or have they just reassured you and sent you on your way?

Thank you for your lovely comment - you are one of several who said they would have thrown the cardigan across the room! A lot of throwing going on haha! However, after all the work, time and effort that's gone into it, not to mention the amount of really beautiful yarn, I'm not about to chuck it. It has been worth the effort if I can eventually wear it, and I think I'm well on the way to success now. So glad you like our "new" fire in the sitting room! We are thrilled with how it looks, and thrilled with our new plumber too!

Happy WOYWW,

It's Friday and I'm just in time to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I spoke with the youngsters last night and told them you would be going to Kew this weekend and they got all excited. They are as excited as I'm sure you are. What a great birthday gift that will be for you, too, dear Helen. And again, Happy birthday.
