Not sure that I have a valid desk for sharing today (well, when do I, working on the floor but you know what I mean...)
I finished off the journal page I was playing with last week - using the rest of the stamps from the Dina Wakley set I used already.
stamping without a block, so you only get a part image, multiple stamping in the same purple inks I used for the main images, turning them different ways to add to the pattern
I did mean to add some splatters... so maybe not so finished after all!
I had to make a sympathy card for a dear crafting friend who lost her battle with cancer recently
it required test stamping of the image as I've not used it for ages, and wasn't sure how subtle to go with the colour
(the stamp is a wooden mounted one by B-Line designs, it's a beautiful image)
the finished card.
Had another lovely visit to Kew on Saturday, and yay!! no rain!
just love the colours and patterns on these leaves - they look painted!

Sad to hear about your friend Helen, love that subtle stamp image. So hard to create sympathy cards.
Glad you managed to play with your journal page.. I get in such a mess when i'm splattering paint. Happy WoywW Tracey #5
Morning Helen I'm sorry to hear about your friend. That's a lovely card you have made for her family. I agree - those leaves do indeed look painted - creation is pretty wonderful and amazing in all its variety, isn't it? Great page - particularly like the words!!
Take care. God bless.

Those leaves do look as if they have been painted - how lovely they are.
Like the journal page - but then I like partial stamping in some cases and journalling lends itself perfectly to this.

That is a gorgeous image Helen and a lovely card. Great pages in the journal too. Have a lovely crafty woyww Hugs Angela x15x
Hi Helen, love the multiple shades of purple on the jounal. Looks so cool. The image for the sympathy card is fab, they can be the hardest to find suitable images for, can't they. So sorry for your loss. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #1 X

Sorry for the loss of your friend, Helen. The sympathy card is lovely...as is the photo of the leaves. Made me smile as I'd just been blogging about having a slight obsession with trees today.
Take care,

I really like your stamped journal page - my kind of messy and full of character. The sympathy card is lovely with its simple design and message - so sorry to hear about your friend. Loving the autumn colours in those leaves - nature is the best artist of all! Take care and happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #17
Sad news about your friend and just the perfect little card, I think. Those Autumn leaves are stunning. xx Jo
Those leaves were favorites of mine, too, Helen. Sad to have lost a friend to cancer,. The card is incredible, though. Just stopping by to say HI!
So sorry to hear about your friend, Helen, however, the card is simply beautiful - the image is perfect for such a sad occasion. Love the leaves too - gorgeous colours. I don't think you will ever tire of Kew when you get to see all that loveliness. Hugs, Elizabeth x #16
So sorry to hear about your friend - the card is simply perfect. So beautiful and elegant. Those leaves are just stunning. Happy WOYWW. Have a lovely week. With love & God Bless, Caro x (#10)
That is a beautiful image, sorry to hear about your friend. Those leaves are a glorious colour. It's the only bit I like about Autumn and the descent into winter - sadly nearly over for this year. Happy WOYWW Cindy #18 xx
I am so sorry to hear about your poor friend, Helen. The card you made is quite beautiful - what a lovely stamp! and the colour is perfect. Your journal page is amazing too. I love using a stamp without a block, and getting that lovely subtle, half-printed look. Again, gorgeous subtle colouring. How you manage to create all this stunning art work at floor level is beyond me! Cutting the fabric for my Tudor gown had to be done on the floor and it was exhausting!! Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you like my Tudor gown idea. Got to get my skates on to get it finished in time now, after a week of not doing anything to it because I've been so busy with other things. Thank you also for your good wishes for my doctor's appointment - the bladder problem is more of a nuisance than anything else but I don't want it to get so bad that it becomes an embarrassment!!
Happy WOYWW,

That is a beautiful image, and there's no getting away from the image quality on a wood mount if you ask me! LOVE the squiggly bits in your journal page - looks as if they were done with a calligraphy pen and some abandon! You can always rely on nature to trump art can't you - your Kew trip this weekend was magical in terms of colour and ight. Great photos, as always.
Sad about your friend, that is a beautiful card for her family.
Great journal pages! So fun!
And the bright orange leaves are gorgeous!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Love the image on your THinking of you card. Those orangy leaaves look like a painting beautiful. Ani #6
Wow, that's a glorious page - I love the colours which are perfect to complement the haunting beauty of those Dina silhouettes (really sorely tempted - they may have to go on the Christmas wishlist). It really is beautiful. So is the gentle sympathy card. Will catch up with Kew soon but still too much phlegm going on!

I am sorry to hear about your friend, thank you for your sympathy about my brother. I am expecting to hear about the funeral any day now. It is so hard to find adequate words at times like this. Your card is lovely, I have not seen a stamp like that. I think you must have a yearly ticket for Kew Gardens. I keep trying to catch the misty views, but my timing is never right! Angela #25
Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Your card is very beautiful. Yes those leaves are so vibrant. Isn't nature the best artist? Thanks for sharing your art.
