WOYWW 494

Well another week has flown by, it's time to join in our weekly desk sharing day... The Stamping-Ground for all the details
I can't believe how time is flying... not done a thing about Christmas shopping (thank goodness there isn't much to get!)
I have however, cracked on a bit with the cards...
Sunday morning saw me cutting up my masterboards and sizing them to card blanks, I even got a few made up (see the grumpy penguins which have made a welcome return this year)  I finished mounting the original batch of images to card blanks too....

Still a way to go, but Kew just calls me on a Saturday... the photos from last week were just stunning, the colours... oh wow!  see them all here  but I'll add a couple here to tempt you over!

and this little guy came out in the Princess of Wales glasshouse again too (he's a Chinese Water Dragon, a type of lizard)

Looking forward to visiting you desks soon!

Nice cards as a result of your Masterboard - seeing those gorgeous photos of autumn in Kew made me think how good they would be turned into a Masterboard for your cards

Those colours from Kew really are uplifting, I can see why you choose to visit as often as you can.. I'd do exactly the same if I was nearer.
Big pat on the back for getting more of those Christmas cards created, those Grumpy Penguins are a winner every time!

I love the masterboard cards you are making, Helen. The Kew photos are gorgeous as always. I’m tempted to feel jealous of you living near enough to Kew to be able to visit so regularly but not really - living in Glorious Devon (despite all the rain we have!) has to be best of all!

Happy WOYWW,

Grumpy penguins seem somehow appropriate to me at the moment, it’s all getting away from me and making me erm, grumpy! Lovely progress on the cards, the master boards look stunning....bung on a die cut greeting and that’s them done!! Seriously, I might just be doing that myself...I’ve fallen over an idea at the first desk, hurrah! Kew photos are beautiful dear gal, I think this year more than last, prolly the long summer accounts for the colours, and your extra experience behind the lens accounts for the actual pics. I love that you’re do8ng the odd selfie more often too.

Those close up pics from Kew are fab - I do love an alternative point of view pic! Well done on getting started with the cards - I'm afraid that I've bought mine from the RNLI shop this year but might make a couple when life calms down a bit :-D

Looks as though you're going great guns on the cards. This will be another year where it simply doesn't happen for me... and I rarely do any Christmas shopping before December, but this year I already have three whole presents bought. I shan't know what to do with myself!

Love the Kew pictures - glorious colours, and the Chinese Water Dragon is magnificent.

I'm here again with a copied and pasted comment I can add to to save me time sitting at the computer....hope you don't mind.
Well done you with the card making...I've enjoyed making the ones I've made so far but think I will end up buying some too as Bear making demands are increasing :-)
I love your Kew photos....what a talent you have at taking photos.

Autumnal copies in all their glory indeedy Helen and Shaz gave me the grumpy penguins too, I’d like to use them as do like them, one day! But not for Christmas cards as they’re not really Christmassy to me, they’d make great male cards though an dwe have our own penguins in Oz., native to here, they don’t all live in snow and they come south to Victoria coastline to breed.
Better go, I’ll chat all night! Hugs Shaz. Xx#20

Thank you for your return visit, Helen, and for your encouraging comments about the pants situation. I just feel so powerless - they don't seem to get the message and I'm sick of being messed about again after last year's experience. I shall be speaking to the stoma nurse about it next month. Glad you like the look of the sourdough. I think I'm beginning to get more successes than failures now, and learning from my mistakes - it's all in the handling of the dough. I laughed at your sign-off remark - I don't think anyone's ever wished me a leak-free week before hahahaaa!!!

The grumpy penguins are cute! I haven't started my Christmas shopping yet either. Here in Canada we are having a postal strike - just when everyone starts ordering online! I am waiting for the paper for my DD's project, I hope it arrives soon...Your leaf pics are gorgeous! What bright colours! Thanks for your visit, have a wonderful week! Lindart #24
